Dak should just stand by, maybe rolling his eyes.

Rikrin should creep for cover slowly.
(stabby, what pistol is he guarding?)

The second would be nice.

The kobold should guard the pistol, Dak should mumble "Why are my PC's idiots, my brother got the freaking heroes of Light, I get a Lawful-idiot, a insane pirate, and someone normal.

The pirate continues trying to wrestle the spellcaster into his cannon, (wrestling check STR ==> (?) vs (?)) but firebolt guy easily breaks his grip. Stepping back, he shouts a spell, and he disappears in a flash of light and a whirlwind of smoke, with a sharp crackle and a loud but muffled sounding thump. When the smoke clears, the man is nowhere to be seen.

While they are fighting, Rikrin moves forward to stand beside the (new) pistolier, ready to guard her from any attacks, and Dak grumbles about the stupidity of his PCs.

The pistolier simply ignores them.

It is the pirate's turn again.

We should watch our backs, Dak should also see if there is anything useful in the crashed ship.

Watch our backs, yes. Dak see if there's anything useful in the crashed ship? No. It's not his purpose, and it might look like we're just looting the ship.

...Rikrin needs a purpose. Maybe he could be a loot-searcher/gatherer? You could convince me to send him to check.

That makes sense. We should also have Dak chat with the merchant, to get a feel of how he's reacting to all this. Maybe even ask if we could buy something.

The pirate looks around and shrugs, saying,
Quote from: pirate
"Well then, now that he's gone I suppose there's something we should be doing?"
Or at least he tries to say that; he actually only gets to the word "someth-" before he is cut off by a firebolt to the back of the head. It kills him instantly. As the lifeless body disappears, firebolt guy fades back into view. The pirate's flag, caught by a sudden wind, floats upwards into the darkness, slowly disappearing, like his fleeing spirit.

After a split second of shock, the merchant recovers, pulls out his gun and shoots the murderer in the stomach. ((?) vs (?)) He loses feeling in everything from his neck down. He is paralyzed!

The merchant walks up to him and starts yelling.

Despite his threat, he doesn't do anything, at least not yet.

Meanwhile, Rikrin wanders over to the crashed ship to see what's inside. There isn't much functional stuff remaining; the entire bow is shattered irreparably, and the main wind-magic output circle is bent almost into unrecognizability, but you manage to find a few pieces of the main energy source; what used to be a great wind-quartz is now just a scattering of small fragments. Each one still contains a small amount of energy, which, when together, is enough to increase the power of wind spells cast nearby.

There is also some circuitry lying around, but it seems to be mostly just for transferring power, with no complex circuitry present. It seems that the ship was much more reliant on magic than it was on technology. The merchant may be willing to pay you a bit for the raw materials, though.

You put both the circuits and the gems into your loot bag.

The nice adventurer walks over to the goblin and strikes up conversation, seemingly oblivious to the drama occuring a few steps away.

Dak: "While attacks on allies are possible, they are generally not recommended."

Rikrin: PResent loot to some PC who isn't in combat. That guy warning that they'll be at this a while looks good!
