Correct.

Scumteam:
Initial players were Objective, Deathsword/Persus, and Tawarochir/TheWetSheep.
N1 convert: Leafsnail.
N2 convert: Mastahcheese.

Night 3, Mastahcheese buys Convert and attempts to use it.  He's blocked by 4maskwolf.

On the fifth day, nine adventurers were left in the catacombs. The four-masked wolf, his fangs grown dull, is rooted in the ground. Tiruin, the newly psychic outcast philanphropist yandere martial artist, is finishing her meditations. Tack, bitter ex-magistrate, is discussing the nature of loss with the ex-Haurespex, Native Foreigner. The Toaster, looks suspiciously at the others while Jack A T, ace PI, pulls down his hat and lights another cigarette. The Dark Star adjusts his once white blood-splattered robes and passes a needle back and forth between his hands. All the while, Objective hacks and coughs and shivers.

"We all know you're a djinn," says the Dark Star, glowing cavernously.

"Yeah, why don't you just admit you're a djinn, you big djinn," says Tiruin.

"Don't look at me, I'm just getting comfortable," said the four-masked wolf, a haunch of mutton in one of his mouths. Everyone else shuddered and tried not to look at him.

"I'm sure the portents would have told us," said the Native Foreigner, despondently.

"Damn snail and his slimy no good doublecrossing back dealing leafy..." Tack continues to grumble.

"You know what to do?" the Toaster asks Jack.

"Yeah," says Jack, flicking his cigarette dramatically up in the air. Before it had even landed, he'd launched himself at Objective, pulling the sickly leper to the ground.

"MEGADEATHBUNDLE!"

All the other adventurers (excluding the wolf-thing, who was still eating) bundled onto Objective, smothering him in a pile of unwashed leathers and matted hair. While the adventurers were groaning and trying to extricate one another, a cone of light pierced the gloom of the crypt as the doors swang open.

The hooded monk from before appeared.

"Very well done, I am pleased to say our diviners sense no living Djinn present. And there's still enough of you to make a decent task force! Now, let me tell you about the lucrative opportunities you've all shown yourself more than willing to undertake..."


Objective was scum. He was an Accursed One.

There was no grand plan with Tawa.  He just decided to claim without reading the scumchat.  Or indeed the thread.

Comments beyond those from during the game:
*I think there's a bit of a cost issue when comparing Kill and Convert.  The high cost of Kill makes it rather pointless for scum to take instead of the much more useful Convert.
*Flavour Inspect is surprisingly powerful, but most of that power comes from the massclaim: having specific powers to search for is what makes it useful.
*Fortune Teller, as it is, seems a bit too powerful.

So, everyone, what do you think worked/didn't work? Would you play CYOM  again some time in the future?

I've been working on some changes.

Proposed Changelist
- Copy, Patrol, Gossip, Frame, Generous Power Steal, Bless, Hidden, Cursed, Chat, Professional, Super-Saint,  Lover, Reflect, One-Shot, Industrious and probably some other things added. Take a look!
- Convert now only half-converts: a player can be one of three alignments: scum, mafia ally and town. Scum converting town turns them into an MA, scum converting an MA turns them into a full scum player. Scum can't be converted but town players can convert mafia allys to town.
- Infallible Inspect  and Flavour cop removed, ability and alignment cop are cheaper
- Scum can now buy Miller for 1xp (rather than the usual -1xp)
- Immovable merged with Clear Minded
- Clear Headed added to protect against being bussed away or reflected back
- Cleanse is less powerful but cheaper
- A player can take Incorruptible, which prevents them from being converted.
- Flexible, Double Voter Track, Curse, Kill Immune, Frame, Cleanse, Alignment Inspect, Vote Steal, Ability Inspect, Point Share, Explosive and Power Swap have been made 1xp cheaper
- Thrill Seeker now gives you even more points
- Resurrection made more useful
- Explosive now works against conversion
- Upgrade section added
- Self- upgrade added to allow self-targeting
- Recycle nerfed: it no longer blocks, nor is it self-target default, and it only effects powers, not autos.
- Double voter now an auto
- Fortune Teller now only gives you half of all powers in play
- Power Swap made more useful
- sap +1xp more expensive

Notable Rule Change:
- No powers are alignment specific
- Power Steal discourages mass-claims
- Conversion is less powerful, but so are the cops
- Game would probably start with 2 scum and 1 mafia-ally, depending on numbers

Things resolve simultaneously unless they could possibly be affected by another action. I'm not sure I'd do it that way next time, but it was a tough call. If it's any consolation, it wouldn't have saved you as Darkstar was the killer: randomising your other randomise was actually a kindness to you as you might have hit him.
