@Leafsnail:

Quote
How does the massclaim help anything?  You assert that it won't help mafia, but I couldn't disagree more.   For instance, let's say an Infallible Alignment Cop claims.  The mafia can now easily neutralize them with a recycle or a conversion.
...Uh, doesn't this go against everything we've discussed on that note of Cops? Yeah, neutralized--it could be said for quite everyone else. The only thing the Mafia has to fear are two things:
> Killers.
> People thinking.

Quote
Scum can't get miller, it is a town only ability.
>_> <_<
I did realize that in that post but it seems it's not in stone. I'm serious in the 'miller' claim but when I get to the bought it off part...yeah.

Quote
I think you are scum.  You made an error yesterday by claiming an impossible result, and you've spent today panicking and trying to cover it up.
...Ok.

And you think I'd make a single post yesterday which contradicts my whole character-setup quite well as logical? Blatant. Hello~?

But at least you're being honest about this.

Quote
Oh.  Well that is a pedantic non-point and it doesn't deserve a response.
Wow, such rudeness. I bothered with your pedantry too, y'know. Just as much as you not thinking equals the statement above this one deserves a response.
Well that is a pendantic point and it doesn't deserve a response.

Cut the comm line more, scumbag.

Quote
"Upon reflection"?  Did you want to make it look like an inspect at the time or not?  This is the core contradiction here.

Also note that, if it was meant to look like an inspection result, yes, you were trying to be misleading.  Again this wouldn't be a problem if you had a clear explanation for what you were doing.
Read my bloody words. NO.
I could see that it could be interpreted as an inspection result, but that was not what I was aiming to give on that post. Goodness, must I repeat myself more and more to get the point across? Oh hello! Ask me that question again! Pretend like you care!
I did explain myself. Now if you had a problem about clarity, you could bother to bloody ask instead of conclude.
That's my Leafsnail's scumtell. Assertively concluding.

Quote
Lying and then failing to explain why is a major contradiction.  Yes, I'm aware your blatantness means you couldn't have made an inspection day one.  But I think you forgot about that or didn't realize that blatant triggered for day actions too, and only realized your mistake after Jack AT's result was displayed.  Alternatively you were always planning to back down and smugly go "Nuh uh, I wasn't implying anything!  I can't be blamed if you make simple logical inferences and mislead yourselves!"
But it seems you bloody realized what I've been saying all along!
And now say how obtuse it is. K.
...
What result?
Also, that is a plausible tangent to go on, sure. How am I expected to talk about that in a clear way if all you do is 'O NO TIRUIN DO WRONG NO SHE DO INSPECT AHAHA BACK DOWN.'
Goddamn.

Quote
You could easily have misunderstood the way blatant worked too - possibly thinking it only worked at night.  In any case there is still a major contradiction in your actions which you haven't addressed.
Yes. Let's think Tiruin as a bloody idiot after not reading everything she bloody said. Let's say that there's a bloody "major" contradiction without saying what the hell it is in the first place.

Unless you stated it as 'oh no Tiruin forgot!'
In which you aren't making it clearer.

Quote
That you're falling back on the vagueness of "I guess" just baffles me even more!  How can you be unsure as to your own motivations?
OH DEAR GODS. YOU REALIZE HOW ILLOGICAL YOUR IDEA IS. I AM ASTOUND!

Quote
That was not at the foremost of your mind, but also at the same time you "guess part of that [your] intent was to make it look like an inspect result".  How do I reconcile these ideas?  Are you claiming to have Dissociative Identity Disorder?  Are you saying you go into some kind of trance when making your posts?  Help me out here.
Maybe its in how you read my posts, buddy.
Maybe its in your perspective.
Maybe its in how you conclude things.
Maybe its in how you tout I have a mental disorder.
Maybe its in your perspective.
Why are you such a jerk when you debate like this?

Quote
Yes that was the part where you contradicted yourself and confused me.
Contradict where.

Quote
You mentioned it and then lied about your use of it.
...Where again. Lied about the use of it, where.
Do I have to repeat you loving to take things at face value once again?

Quote
That isn't remotely worth spending 5 points on though.
So let's debate on the alignment cop power more with snipping at each other without going along something we're communicating on. Sure.
WHY IS IT NOT REMOTELY WORTH SPENDING 5 POINTS ON?!

Quote
I guess, but I don't think it's a major issue if everyone makes a clear decision at the end of the day.  The town doesn't make better decisions if all its votes are spead out (I'd say it makes worse decisions due to mafia having more influence).
But then mass-voting. Bloodthirsty is only good if given to a few, and given the issue of it being town--it can also be a Mafia bonus.
Especially to those who like being vote-frenzy.

Why would that "explain" my earlier behavior?
Any consistent string of thought processes.  Even "Oh shit, I messed up by making that post, oops" or "There was nothing wrong with that post, go away".  But the thing is you haven't given me that.  You've given me multiple explanations that don't match up with each other.
Ugh. it's in your perspective. Really. I had said that I did not intend that to be what I wanted it to be-but what my observations were. Not a cop inspect. Not anything else. On those multiple explanations, you fail to connect them all in which you do not state how they don't match up despite multiple explanations. And further on the line, you resort to conclusion based on the first thing you inferred anyway and now denounce everything I say.

Yes. That isn't consistent. Oh my.

Quote
I don't see why you'd claim if you weren't trying to encourage a massclaim.
How's about me claiming to make myself more of a target to scum, huh? That didn't pass your mind?

EBWOP: And when I mean jerk, I mean 'resolutely clinging to a conception of an idea that leaves nothing to debate upon but Ok sure, I respect that opinion.'

Look, I understand that fessing up to one's mistakes is an altruistic judgement, but also do understand that if one does not fess up to an ideal mistake-two things can be considered:
> Lying and backing it up(/down?)
> Actually that not being the intent or basis of what was being forwarded.

I see curiosity though, and not wholesome aggression. If you're curious-then speak Leafsnail. Drop the faux-assertion.

Also on that note, I'd like to point on the implications of this 'lie' you stand against me. Why. I do remember I asked that (or...thought about asking why).

Me lying about the inspect leads me to being scum, why. Because I don't see any clear distinction as to why it appeared (and perhaps why I'm poking you about cyclic reasoning) but it was linked to:
I believe I get your thought process on the moment of that.

To put it simply, Townies want a mass claim. Scum do not.
Why? Because scum are going to have to look at that list, pick a bunch of random yet-to-be-assigned skills and 'fake' a skillset.
Which is going to narrow down our suspect pool dramatically.

Now, if all goes well, and with the amount of day-damage we've got ready, we should have this recycler lynched, and the converter open to a NK.

So here it is, laid out for you.
You can either claim now, or waste one of Jack A T's flavor inspects to see what you've really got going on. Innocent won't matter for crap if you've got recycler or convert.

To really, really dumb it down:
If you're town, you won't want to waste Jack A T's inspect.
If you're scum, you won't want to bring an inspect down upon you.

Claim.
Now.

And Tiruin: you canmt even protect from my kill because unstoppable  :D

Also, the recycle was night, the  sap was day.
Bwuh? But Tack just said he lost his points a-
...
Oops.
So...he was recycled in the night, and day-sapped.
...Ah.
I thought he was both day recycled and then sapped. :x

I still think a massclaim is a horrible idea (well ok it's a great idea for scum), but I see that Tack has successfully drawn out the biggest threat to his team.  Well done.

Yes, I am the recycler.

Miller (-1)
Hardcore (-1)
Recycle (3)
Day Sap (4) [not 2, as Tack incorrectly suggested]

I choose this setup as it is the most reliable way to block mafia members and strip them of their conversions.  The points gained would allow me to go prolific and perform even more super-blocks.  The downside of hitting a townie with this is also far less than the downside of hitting a townie with, say, a kill (the same amount of points/votes are still on the town side overall, while killing a townie destroys their points and their vote).

For the record, I wouldn't pick this as scum, and I think any mafia member doing so would be really stupid.  The best scumteam would clearly be Day Converter/Day Cleanser (erase all the day converter's bad stuff immediately)/Converter.  Who needs to play the long game when you can easily win by like night 2 at the latest?  Why steal a player's points when you can steal the actual player and their points far more quietly?

Day one I failed to sap anyone due to the quickhammer.  Night one I recycled Tack because he was scummy as hell and seemed to be desperate to get his ability to resolve (why the fuck would an actual townie claim cop?  "I want to draw kills to myself" makes no sense as a reason, giving the mafia the information just lets them make a more informed decision).  Today I sapped Tack because I didn't want him rebuilding his skill tree tonight.

Also Tack's claim to have 6 points earlier was false, he had seven.  Good thing we have a scanner who can verify the number of points I currently have, eh?  And good luck explaining how I got all these points without Miller, Tack.

I protected someone who I suspect to have alignment cop, because I think some of the scum would have noticed that as well. I'm still not naming any names, though.

Format for massclaim:

> Your claim. What you did. When you did it. And most preferably, why (though the last one is skipped a lot of times by town/scum alike).

And in this sense: Your everything.

And now mastah has no reason to scan two randoms. Once again my plans have been fucked.

Expound this situation with what you hypothesized.
Day one: convert a townie.  Mislynch (4 mafia, 8 town)
Night one: convert a townie (5 mafia, 7 town)
Day two: convert a townie (6 mafia, 6 town).  That's basically victory already, but another mislynch and conversion on night two would seal it

You can only convert at night, unless you make it a day power, then you only convert at day.

That would work if there were 2 converters, though.

Yeah, and the mafia team has three members.  So you can have a day converter, a night converter and a day cleanser to immediately remove all of the day converters horrible maluses.

Ah. Now that makes it far worse that my first impression on your case.

Tiny query:
Today I sapped Tack because I didn't want him rebuilding his skill tree tonight.
So in lieu of anything he'd be talking about-you sapped him.
As in, you did him in without letting him talk up more?

PPE: Umph. 2 replies.

Start 5, Convert cost is 7. Day cost = 9 total. *checks flaw list*

Huh.
