Colt simply shook his head.

: "No. You keep that as memento... I have an idea. Just give me a moment

Colt walked off into the woods and disappeared in the treeline.

Einar started to speak and then sighed. As much as he disliked the other man, the fact that he'd thought about that was nice to hear. With a shake of his head, he followed after the mage.

"Look, Colt... I know you and I aren't friends but... Thank you. Thank you for letting me keep the one thing I have to remind me of her. I wanted to give her the best I could because she deserved it but... Thank you for giving me that."

As Einar arrived, Colt was just finishing wiping the last bits of blood off his face. His robes laid next to him. They didn't mean anything to him now. He picked up the scattered remnants and quickly tossed it to Einar.
: "Enough... Look you don't have to flatter me alright? It's not like these robes matter anyways... Just a status symbol."

Einar shook his head.

"It's not me flattering you. You don't like me but you still considered my feelings long enough to give me that big of respect. I'm... Thank you."

Taking the clothes he'd been thrown, he headed back to Halldora. Kneeling down next to her, he slowly covered her in the cloth. As he covered her face, he couldn't stop the tears from flowing. Turning away, he walked a few steps away before slamming his fist into a tree, hanging his head in grief.

Colt followed him out the woods. This time no tears came as her face was being covered. It was all so sudden and fast... He wanted to apologize to Einar for how he treated him like dirt. But now wasn't the time. Einar didn't need an apology. Words would be meaningless coming from the mouth of a murderer. Colt simply put a hand in his shoulder as he passed them and approached Cidney with as much composure as he could manage.

: "When Jorund has that hole dug... We'll lower her in... No point in waiting any longer."

For his part, Jorund dug steadily, tirelessly, with a faintly guilty and sad expression on his face. It was likely he thought it was his fault for not being able to protect everyone like he was told to. After the better part of an hour, he finally stopped and climbed out of the chest-high (for him) hole he had dug.

"...Jorund finish digging."

Cidney panted heavily, having dug very frenetically in a macho effort to try and keep up with Jorund. He'd barely dug half as much as the giant, though.

"I-*huff*-I'll try to spy-*hah*-something to mark the-*haff*-the grave with, then..."

Jorund nodded to Cidney and held out his hatchet.

"Cidney want to borrow axe, cut limbs with?"

"That'd be right as apples, actually. Thanks, mate. If you could find some ripper stones, too, that'd be great."

Cidney then takes the proffered axe and goes off to start hacking at branches in order to fashion a memorial carvng with his wood-fashioning skills, such as they were.

Jorund nodded and walked over to Colt.

"...Colt want to help Jorund find rocks to mark with?"

He thought that maybe it would help the mage cope if he contributed a little to the grave.

"OK. Thanks."

Jorund led Colt over to where he had last seen some good rocks, near the bottom of the cliffs.

"Colt pick, Jorund carry?"

The giant thought it would be better that way. Halldora clearly had meant a lot to Colt and letting him pick the stones seemed like the right thing to do. The least he could do was carry the rocks for his friend.

Colt tried to sift through the stones to find something. All the rocks looked too dissimilar to him. Some were too jagged, others had uneven surfaces.

: "...I..."
: "Well to tell you the truth... I have no idea which stone might work. I've never had to visit a grave yard... Let alone bury someone."

Jorund thought about it. He hadn't had the opportunity to bury his family; he and Idonia had been escorted away from the scene by the soldiers, and he assumed they had taken care of the burials.

"...Jorund don't know either. Pick ones you like?"

: "I... I don't know. None of them stick out to me..."

Just what was Jorund thinking anyways? There nothing good here to pick from. Why... Why did he want him to pick? Colt shook his head.

: "Maybe we should just forgo a marker, I doubt we'll find any- Wait..."

Colt approached the cliff and looked up. None of the rocks on the ground really worked. But perhaps... yes.

: "Stand back a second Jorund."
