The nomad had been blasted off his horse by the monster, and he continued to just lay on the ground. He knew that he should get up, but his mind was shutting down from grief. His friend... the girl he had been falling in love with... gone in the foreign time. He couldn't help but blame himself somewhat for this. He couldn't help but think of what he might have done differently, how he could have fixed things...

"Halldora... I'm sorry."

WIth a wave of his hand, Colt dispersed the winds. With the wind not rustling around his ears, he was made aware of someone sobbing... His brow furrowed.

: "I swear..."

Without hesitation, Colt immediately approached Cidney and tried to get him back on his feet.
: ""Gah... You're heavy. You mind telling me what happened here?

"Thanks, mate...an' sure. While you were off takin'a walkabout, we got shanked by a bloody well swarm of the beasties. I think the sword-sheila carked it, and we're just lucky no one else did, neither. Who's the bloke?"

Colt rubbed his temples furiously.

: "The man is some hedge mage... He said his last name is Layverque and he seems to be related to the Baron. Got it? Now. I don't believe I heard you right earlier. What the hell do you mean by 'carked'?"

Jorund knelt next to Eleonore and put a large hand on her shoulder.

"...Jorund sorry. Jorund momma say when friend passes, they are with the angels now, and that we'll be angels with them someday too."

From what the giant remembered, being an angel was a very good thing. There was no more fighting, no more worries.

"Bloody...Mago. The sheila's dead, mate. The others are cryin' over the corpse. Now if you'll drop me, there's a grave I need to be digging."

Colt blinked.

: "What? No... No."

: "You damned bushman! I'll check myself."

The mage hastily dropped the nasty creature. No. How... How dare he. If this was some kind of sick joke he wasn't buying. His breath quickened and grew labored. No. That was not possible. Not in the slightest. He marched off quickly down the cliff in a fury. Like hell she was dead. That simply wasn't possible. He was only gone for a moment. How could she be dead?

With an inhuman fury burning up in his breast, he tore through the treeline mindlessly. No. Just no. A thousand times.
: "Halldora!? Eleonore? Where the hell are you?"

Cidney just sighed heavily, brushing himself off a little, before walking to O'Connor and helping him up.

"You bring a trowel with ya, or will I be scrapin' dirt this with me fingers?"

Colt, in his mad rush through thicket, tumbled over some root and rolled down the ledge, landing right near Eleonore. She didn't paid attention to him; the Princess was quietly staring at pale face of Halldora, Eleonore's cheeks glistening from tears.

He rose up slowly, rattled, but oblivious to his pains.

: "Gah... Halldora? Halldora!"

In state half drunk with pain and confusion he stumbled over grabbing her at her shoulders
: "Come on... Time to stop joking around. Get up... Get UP!"

Jorund put his other hand on Colt's shoulder and merely gave him a sad look. There was nothing to be said.

Colt simply broke down in response, crying over the fallen Halldora.

Jorund put his arms over Colt and Eleonore's shoulders and pulled them closer, letting them cry on his chest if they wanted.

Einar sat up and clutched his legs to his chest. Closing his eyes, he rocked back and forth doing his best to not fall apart.

"I need to be strong. We're still stuck here. Once this is over... Once it's done, I can grieve. Until then, I need to be there for Ele. That's my job. I need to protect her."

Standing up, he took the reins of his horse and slowly led him back to where the others were grieving.

Eleonore sobbed a little against Jorund's chest and then sniffed a little, moving away to look at Halldora again.

"And where are you going, young man..."

"I have a mission to fullfill." The two voices came from behind the thicket on the cliffside above Halldora's 'grave'.

"And they are in no state to continue. You take them back to the city, old man.

"Shouldn't you at least... ask them first?..."
