Einar smirked at the man.

"Please. You're probably used to wines and ciders. Not used to the real strong stuff. This will be fun. You're going to end up regretting this, trust me."

(Actually not as much as I thought. ) inb4 colt x einar drunken kissing and whatnot

Jorund looked at Cidney when he got his attention, then listened to Einar and Colt bicker as they liked to do.

"OK, drinks! Everybody drink, have good time."

Surely a keg or two would calm the pair of them down.

"Windy man, horsieman, drinking contest?"

"Fun! Let's go!"

[Haspen]

"I will be upstairs if you need me." Said Eleonore after giving the innkeeper fifty coins for enough rooms for her party plus hearty supply of booze and snacks.

Afternoon went into evening...

And just as Einar and Colt finished bickering, the door opened and Prince Asoth himself, with Altmorin at his side, came inside. He looked around for a moment.

"I hope I'm not interrupting. Where's Eleonore? I've received a message that she wants to talk."

"Greetings, fire-head maiden." Altmorin leaned toward Nerea with a gentle smile on his lips.

"Hey prince, horsieman! Want drinks?"

Jorund waved at the pair enthusiastically to get their attention and pointed out the kegs they had.

"Horsiebowman, windy man, drinking contest. Fun."

The giant was holding a pint, although it looked rather small in his hand, and he drained it in a single drink before refilling it.

"And important lady upstairs. Want Jorund go get her?"

Colt gripped the glass in his hand with such great fervor and intense concentration that he did not notice Prince Asoth enter.
: "I refuse to lose to this low-born horse-"
: "Ah! Prince Asoth. I didn't see you. Jorund, I trust that Lady Eleonore would not mind having her rest interrupted. Go attend to her at once. She will be down shortly."

Cidney watched Colt struggle with the drink he held, trying not to break out laughing. He took another drink of his third beer, but frowned at Colt when he ordered Jorund around.

"You buncha mugs. Let the bloke have hisself some piss; I'll razz up her Priestliness."

He sighed, putting the drink down on the table and shaking his head.

"And don't din out while I'm up there! I wanna see when it happens."

Colt didn't comprehend the scolding tone of Cidney. In fact, he wasn't certain if he understood him at all, aside from the fact that he was going to fetch Eleonore.

: "I suppose that is fine as well. Just as long as someone tells her."

Colt fingered his booze awkwardly with one eye on Asoth. It was hard to even consider drinking with him out and about. One can freely make an ass about himself in the company of one's fellows, but when adding in someone of a higher social standing the matter suddenly became a great deal less of a prospect.

"Ah, the prince, welcome. While Cidney goes and gets Lady Eleonore, would you care to join us? I'm sure there's money to pay for a drink for your highness in our budget. You could tell us some about the rebellion that's going on."

"OK. Jorund back soon."

The giant finished his drink and patted Cidney on the shoulder to let him know he didn't mind going up and getting her, which he then did, knocking on her door to be polite.

"Important lady? Jorund. Prince here, want to see you."

As Jorund ascended the stairs, Cidney scowled for a moment, before relaxing on his stool. The prince was here again though...he couldn't just keep ignoring the bastard, but Cid thought the first words out of his mouth would be a death-threat if he acknowledged the man's presence. Biting down on his fury, he spoke.

"Aye, your Princeliness, givin' us the scamp up on who we're gonna blue'd be just ripper."

"Oh, and, ehh...what's gone on in the Badlands? Any of you blokes find out while ya were readin'?"

[Haspen]

"Unfortunately I'm still on duty."

[Swordstar]

"Well, if nothing else, you can sit, right? No reason not to relax for a few seconds. It will do you some good to get off your feet I suspect."

[Haspen]

"Ha ha, I was sitting most of the time when I wasn't running around. But I appreciate the gesture." Asoth sat down at an empty chair just as Eleonore walked downstairs right after Jorund.

"Prince."

"Princess... I've been told that you have some dealings with Baron Lavyerque, is that correct?"

"Ah, well, not... dealings. But can I first hear about all this rebellion thing going on?"

"Very well. The elderly Baron Sigurd Lambard have been increasing his influence over the local villages and amongst other noblemen. Finally, today, we've received a declaration of independence. This is a rebellion which we will put down. Lambard is backed by several nobles, including Baron Uthell, a dreadful black mage, and entire Lavyerque family; including the two sons who themselves have small territories with personal armies. You can see that it's rather large issue. Why does Lavyerque family interest you?"

"Colt here determined that Lavyerque possess the exact same crystal that brought us here from the, um, past times. We were going to visit that Baron but then we heard of this uprising..." Asoth nodded in agreement.

"Then it is very fortunate you've told me. Normally in such situation, after dealing with the rebels, we seize their treasuries and give money to the poor, and auction the artifacts to other nobles or scholars. Now that I know you seek their heirloom, I will make sure it will be saved for you." Eleonore sighed in relief.

"Thank you, Prince."

Einar yawned slightly and then grinned at the prince.

"You wouldn't happen to be interested in having some of us join you, would you? I personally would rather help fight than sit around her on my butt all day waiting for news of the rebellion. And if what you've said is true... you'll need all the help you can get."
