~~Prologue Complete!~~
The horse-stomping came closer. Suddenly, the pair of gargoyles that flew south from Jorund and O'Connor got pincushioned by many arrows!
Soon, an entire cavalry unit ran from around the corner, quickly forming a lengthy line. There was at least ten cavalries, five bowmen on horses, and two horsemen with healing staves. A horseman in cape and decorated armor rode from between the lined cavaliers and looked at Eleonore and her guards.
"Greetings! We have heard the Howl of the Hunt, but I see-" He glanced at the corpse of the gargoyle's leader.
"That our intervention wasn't really necessary."Eleonore stepped forth and looked at the mysterious cavalry leader. She seemingly took great notice of his armor. Then she looked at his face just in the same moment as he looked at her face.
There was a moment of silence as the two stared...
"Thank you kind sir, could you help us? We seem to be a little... lost. First of all, can I have your name?""You're speaking with Prince Asoth, praefect of the Western Territories, son of Emperor Horus the Third, ruler of the Northern Rivan Empire!" The horseman at Asoth's right spoke loudly - Eleonore blinked, her mind processing the wording of that introduction.
"Thank you Olivier but I could do it myself. Well, there's that. May I have your name, m'lady?" "I... I would rather... could you tell us where we are? We have stepped of the road and... got lost..." Eleonore's face turned pale as she touched her head gently. She didn't look well.
"...You're strange one. But I guess I can tell you? These are ruins of Castle Eferia, a kingdom that my venerable ancestors conquered three hundred years ago and- M'lady!"Eleonore fainted and collapsed to the floor.
