Colt clicked his tongue in annoyance.

: "Patience. Recall we've yet to hear of any word from your commander. Shouldn't they be storming the walls by now?"

Still. He had a point. Cidney needed to speed things up a little bit...

~~Allies Turn!~~

"If you have a way to send a message out of enemy stronghold, through few miles, through a vast battlefield, right into Prince's hands, I would like to hear it." Altmorin said sarcastically and then moved away.

Sarcasm was lost upon Colt as he gestured to his Wind Tome.
: "Don't be a dunce. Such a spell would require a series of specialized enchantments that we simply do not have available to us at this time. You would need real magic, the kind not found in this cheap thing. Even then, such enchantments aren't all together common now are they?"

Then he seriously considered the thought. He worked through the idea under his breath as he mumbled along.

: "I suppose the idea isn't so insane... This isn't backwater Eferia. This a long way from home and magic has notably increased in both sophistication if that Treatise on the Arts of Wind Magic told me anything. From what I can tell I would just need a source of magic strong enough to project or shape a signal; a sign of some sort. And given that this "Layverque" seems to have some kind of ability over magic if his family was to interpret and obtain a magical artifact as strong as the Jewel of Wishing, he might have a way of communicating over long distance. After all, communication is key to strategy. It would have been developed in some shape or form eventually. Certainly after 300 years there had to be some priest who decided to get off their rear end make an artifact that is actually useful so that their lord could communicate over distance. It's only natural really, considering communication is such a vital thing. Then again, I never knew the clergy to be quick acting to help a lord. I could be wrong about this entire business entirely and I wouldn't even know it. It's all damned conjecture... Bah! This is all so damnably complicated it's making my head hurt. I just want to get this over with so I can get out of here before anyone else gets hurt... So why don't I focus on that."

Move to 18,10, assuming that Einar doesn't have any new enemies to handle.

: "I'll be right behind you. The sooner we get out of here the better. Let's search for Layverque up in this north hallway and finish this as soon as possible. But before that, Lady Eleonore, I need you to tend to Altomorin's scratches. No point in getting ourselves killed here."
