I still don't understand granting crystals immortality. That, or giving something un-thinking (At least by perspective) awareness of a soul bond.

Yeah, I forgot I don't know they can't think. And giving them immortality is quite sensible, if you want to save souls from purgatory.

They are crystals, they don't have a immune system that will eventually die off.

I'd've been an Elder God, then gathered another Elder God to my side, killed the most powerful thing aside from the Overgod, backstabbed me partner, and then set up a worship base among the mortals and waited.

Theoretically? Hoard acts, hide, and wait.
If you're interested in speed, you probably want to make a personal domain and make it unattractive for anyone else to try and steal a piece of as efficiently as possible before doing the above.

There's no one good strategy for this. Almost the whole time, you'll want to be looking out for opportunities.

Okay, since I've used up a lot of my imaginative processes updating a fair amount of my other games and this one takes a fair deal of thought, I'm going to push this game's update back to tomorrow.

Use the Udil method, first kill someone's creations, create your own creations using Divine energy, kill everyone who opposes you, and use their former strength to further empower yourself.
Continue until you are able to slay the creator of the Universe.

That only works if people continue to believe you won't continue to kill people, which won't happen after Udil.
