Only if played in an interesting, novel fashion.

And chaos gods are the likeliest to be played in a stereotypical fashion fun only to the player.

How many players does the game need to start?

I don't think this is about number. Zanzetkuken said he will select the gods on Friday, as far as I remember, which is today, but it's night where I am - I really should be sleeping. Pretty sure the game will start soon, though.

Name: An Iochdar Aon, which can be (roughly) translated to The Kilted One.
Preferred Role: Younger God
Sphere: Strength
Appearance: The Kilted One looks generally like a tall bearded giant, wearing nought but his kilt. He is about 18 feet tall.
Description: The Kilted One was thought into existence by the Highland men of [insert continent here]. Before him, they had no god, so they made one like themselves, wearing a kilt rather than the trousers that other men wear. He rules over them, directing their chieftains and their excursions into the plain. He is a warrior god. He is strength.

Don't be so stressed, it's only 10 PM Thursday for me, and school and drama club will take quite a bit of time.  Though, I will give the plan I am leaning towards right now, with possible titles, however, it is not required that any of the possible typings I have laid out need to be filled (some of the gods might be changed around, since only two are really entrenched in their positions), I was just adding what could have the universe start off balanced, but as ascendants rise, that slowly begins to unbalance.

Actually, I think you really should avoid giving each god his opposite. After all, if each God has his own predefined enemy, the diplomatic part of the game becomes a lot less interesting, and I really doubt ascendants can shake it up properly. Just throw some interesting god's into  a mix and alliances and enemies will form naturally.

For example currently you have this going on.
Chaos versus Order*2
Darkness versus Light*1
Doubt versus Strength*1
Now, assuming that, as you intended, all the pairs actually "fight" with each other, then  you have the grand total of 8 possible alliances and counteralliances (Assuming no non-allianced players and that Chaos is willing to alliance itself with Order). Without forcing people into these fights, everything would be much more diverse.

Additionally, you're forcing people in a play style, by forcing them to counter the actions of another player. Going neutral is not an option under your system.

Only if played in an interesting, novel fashion.

And chaos gods are the likeliest to be played in a stereotypical fashion fun only to the player.

Even then, Chaos gods are mostly played as a carte blanche for doing random stuff and annoying other people. I trust you in being able to play one in an interesting way, but we really shouldn't overdo it.

Edit: Anyway, going to add more detail to my application(s) soon(ish).

Hey, you've got drama club, that's cool- today I start my performance for my drama club!
I'll pop the rest of Duluz's sheet in after the school show.
