Heiterverzweiflung. Not a legit German word so much as something a friend and I made up in German class once. "Carefree despair". When life is so fucked that you can't stop laughing.

Ava's Demon has updated. It's only been, what, a year?
Michelle posted a news post on 30th where she said that there will be an update every week or so now. Wonder if that'll be true.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Man the art in KSBD has been kicking ass as he draws more and more regularly, and I'm working my way bit by bit through getting a df mod of it no less.

After reading back through Unsounded from the start, a bunch of different pieces have clicked into place in a big way. I know who certain characters are, and I know that certain other characters aren't dead.
It's kinda crazy how much stuff can slip under the radar when reading week-to-week.

Still on my backlog / re-reads.

Got up to Diesel Sweeties # 126 which is the ScaryGoGround guest comic. I love when I come across those guest strips from other comics I hadn't read the first time.

Speaking of Unsounded, discovered this on the patreon page (As well as a straight-up loli voice on the author)
Quote
The comic has for years been updating three days a week online for free! I've never had an ad on the site (I hate them!) and instead have had success selling print books to a very generous readership. Patreon is an option for you, as a reader, to monetarily support the comic as it continues ever onwards.
Zero ad income is pretty impressive. Been ad-blocking as a habit (queue downwards shamegaze) so only just found this out.

I disable adblock on webcomics. Webcomics (or at least the ones I read) only ever have banner ads. Usually they're not even animated.

Yeah, webcomice are pretty much the only sites I whitelist (excepting ones that make bad ad choices of course). Helps ensure that the authors actually get some money from them and it doesn't really cost me anything.

Ended up starting a re-read of Ava's Demon, which I might actually start following again now that it seems to update occasionally. I didn't appreciate Odin enough last time. He's amazing, when his stutter isn't being hamfistedly played up.

If it werent for the really slow update cycle, I would strongly recommend Powernap.  Very interesting premise, very well drawn.

SLOOOOOOOOW update cycle, but worth it for when it does update.

Questionable Content update took me by surprise, which is embarrassing.  I mostly blame/credit the author for artful misdirection, but still.

It is mostly Bubbles being unreasonable though, right? I mean, Dora co-signing the lease is a no-lose situation for the two.
