50-100 trained killers is a good start I think. Hit both prisons and we gain a small army of people with a serious grudge against the Viceroy. I've got the 5 biggest gangs on side so the smaller ones will fall in line that should provide several hundred men.

We should find out who the commanders of battalions are maybe 1-2 of them are good people working in a corrupt system. Bringing an entire battalion or 2 onto our side in the middle of a battle is probably a pretty good way to turn the tide of a battle. Or failing that blackmail is always a good alternative.

Hmm, I need to join the army. I have an interesting idea.

Continue to wait. He have a way to get possible military weaponry {Guns, pickets, Cannons, Machine Guns/galliguns i think the GM sa and etc}. We also should wait for army feild officers from our comrades to help organise. It could be good to find out more about the Chief of Enforces and his relationship with the Mayor. If we can get one or both on our side it'll be good for legitimacy. I don't think the media dude will be important once we burn down the prints  8)

I'm going to start setting up an armory after i get my small time gang together. Maybe use an abandoned warehouse to store w.e we can get our hands on. Also could be good to find out who else {if any} are also fighting against the Viceroy and what their status is.

Sorry to rain on your parade.

Garrison:
6800 enforcers
2600 VIC
1000 VCC

I don't think they'll have trouble with moving in groups. And that's just this one relatively small city. I get the feeling this is going to be a quality against quantity kind of war. I can work with these odds.

I'll join the army, shouldn't be hard in a corrupt world where nobles rule. I can probably feed you info on enemy supply convoys for you to hit once I'm dug in. But careful the enemy has a lot of spies who dress like civilians on top of a small army in this town.

That won't be neccesary. All you need to find is some Sergents and NCO's at the bar. Add some nice looking {prefrebly nice smelling also} prostitutes, some booze, and a decent line to get info out of them. It'll be cake  :)

I'd recommend against going. There's no telling what the'll do to you, send you, or even IF we can communicate with you. We can always find a grunt in our organization to go right?

Unlikely, we need a noble to do it. Maybe one of Shebs friends they're officer core already and nobles. If he can turn a few to our side that works and frees me up to worm my way into the prisons.

I'm hoping once we know who runs it we can get GUNIN to set them up so they get canned and I can get myself made warden. Jail breaks are easier if you have the keys and can call all the guards to one room for mass execution. Time it so that the jail breaks in both prisons go off at the same time and you have mass chaos on the streets for a while giving us time to burn some barracks, murder some enforcers and generally make life hell for the Viceroys minions then duck back out of sight and pin it on the prisoners.
We could even round them up and turn them in to earn some favor. Only those not working for us of course.

Request, when you chat one up bring him to me. We need to have a long chat about whether he should be trusted or have his head parted from his shoulders and my Charisma is higher then yours.
You have the physical skills to torture and keep him under control I have the charisma to read him.

Funny you should say Nobles back then were usually Officers {lieutenants, captain, admirals, and generals}. That could work IF they say yes and don't rat us out if they say no. I actually like your idea pewd but what if the Viceroy's goons just say "Fuck it, Kill'em all"?

They'd burn down the city because of us.

Well during the riots I was hoping Patrick and his band of Merry Murderers would visit the key stooges and they would have tragic accidents. That should hold up the stooges long enough for us to get out ahead of things. Maybe take over some key positions with a few friendly nobles.

Or we could steadily discredit and replace key officials then just release the prisoners we want out and use those positions to steadily seize control all very legally while looking like good loyal Nobles doing our duty. I personally prefer fire and chaos but sometimes stealth is good.
My family is all gone other then me I can adopt a few of you if I want to making you nobles giving you the social rank needed to take higher offices.

We can do both actually. Have some noble freinds and promise them key positions in return for service/blind eyes and vwalah. Of course we'll use the choatic fires to vacate those positions and the banks :D

The 2 don't fit together.

It's either fire and chaos all very big and messy which starts a war and we hope he underestimates us long enough for us to build our strength.
Or blackmail, murder and discrediting in a dirty little shadow war.

Option 2 is the best one for us, option 1 is more fun. Sadly I prefer option 2.

I'm the last of my bloodline I can adopt some of you to give you the social standing to take higher offices, take one on myself ruling the combined prisons. Sheb is an officer we could get him control of the army. But it has to be orderly and legal. No rioting.

I have another idea as well but I need some info from Deny first.

Your a disgraced noble, an we'd be adopted "sons" of such a noble. Better to make some connections.

That said we should also be more selfish I.e me rebuilding my gang, you expanding your family line, etc.

Just for character purposes.

I'm not disgraced, I'm just a little rebellious. Not unusual in young nobles with a lot of money.

But thats why I recruited the gangs, I can be a good boy and they do the dirty business. I'm working on the family thing as well just need an answer from Deny :).

I like your plan of getting you to become a warden of one of the prisons. That still leaves the other. So I think we should profile the two, find out which would be most cooperative or the easiest to threaten or manipulate, then have the more competent one get fired. That would work for a timed breakout in the both of them.

And as I learn more about the Head Stooges we can work out "accidents" in advance so that as many as possible are incapacitated at the same time.

EDIT: Slowly releasing the prisoners by taking over the prisons legally is a good idea, but the mass breakouts would definitely take a lot less time and energy. And the ensuing chaos can be extremely useful. We could walk straight into police stations while they were busy battling them. Endless potential for terrorism is what that is. Hell we could probably bomb a few government buildings.

Well I can probably take over both. It's in the same town so not like travel is an issue and corruption is rife at the moment anyway, a bit of cash should seal the deal. Or failing that I can just get one of my guys put in charge of the second so he runs it day to day and I just tell him when I need something done.

I think prime targets are the mayor and top military officers. If we cut off the head maybe Sheb's friends can fill the gaps giving us control of the army. Wouldn't it be convenient if they were 100 miles away on a training exercise when the riots break out?
Those pore enforcers trapped in a city with a small army of trained killers hunting them and no soldiers to hide behind.

Ok suggestion, get out key personnel ahead of time. I'm guessing Patrick plans to take over the gangs in his prison judging from his actions so get out him and a few key men ahead of time and give him guns and knives enough for his men.
The main break out comes and he rallies his lot arms them up and then declares open season on enforcers. Hell give him small arms for the other prisoners so they can do some damage as well.

My long-term idea is to start up an elite cadre of spies. Not so much actual infiltration as pure burglary and eavesdropping. We'll be able to plant incriminating evidence for our political allies to take advantage of and steal vital documents if all goes right. I want to establish contacts in the black market as well so we can get our hands on explosives.

EDIT: We can also bomb the police stations themselves either just before or after the riots begin.

I've got the 5 biggest criminal groups in town. Consider the black market open for business.

Patricks an assassin with a score to settle and is building his own army of assassins already your building a spy army. That'll make a nice combo. You set them up, he knocks them down and I pick up the pieces and put them together to benefit us.

This is giving me so many ideas for now and the future.
