It's time for yet another image heavy KSP Lets play, community involvement is welcome and we'll be playing iron man mode (no reverts, all crashes are final, and fatal for our non orange jumpsuiters), we'll be playing in career mode, as far as i can see all mods do support the tech tree (kethane requires a small patch). Mods are selected among those that add functionality Lotsa Mods!;

Mission Controller (liquid fuel and oxygen costs have been reduced by 25%, tanks have been increased in cost 6 times;
Ferram aerospace;
TAC Life support; (Default values, Except; Electricity consumption has been slightly reduced Halved, Time without water is increased to 7 days)
Deadly reentry;
Remote Tech;
Modular Fuels;
Cargo Transfer Bags for TAC life support;
Kethane;
ExtraPlanetary launchpads;
Interstellar;
Kerbal attachment system;
Infernal robotics;
Bavarian Tubes;
Procedural Fairings;
Kerbal Engineer;
Mechjeb (Cost of Mechanical Jeb pod increased by 40,000);
Ubio part welder;
Kerbpaint.

23/4 Adding new mods:
Enhanced navball;
Docking port alignment indicator;
Scansat;
Hullcam VDS;
Distant object enhancement;
Added Tac lifesupport greenhouse; (Food production has been balanced to match the vanilla C02/water purifiers)

I should note I have never used any of these mods, and have pretty much no idea where in the tech tree most of these parts will show up.
My own idea is to run through basic Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, etc, Missions (or at least highly simplified) as well as launching copies of various real life science probes etc, with the added limitations that Deadly reentry, Remote tech and Mission controller add.
I've come to realise that it's possible to 'grind' easy/cheap missions using mission controller for money, I shall avoid that by only doing unique missions.
First update soon, Jebediah learns how much fun the external command seat is (Bonus update using sandbox)

Note; images are freaking massive, Apologies. I'll be JPGing all images from now on.

Update 1: Rockets are fun!
Update 2: WTF is a space program?
Update 3: Data is important?
Update 4: Goo, What can you do?
Update 5: RTFM
Update 6: The right stuff, Quicksilver 6
Mission 7: Quicksilver and the Pretty Giant Missile 11 meters high which is Launched from the Space Center which has a lot of banded iron formations around the place.
Mission 8: Freedom 6.
Mission 9: Liberty bell 6.
Mission 10: Friendship 6.
Mission 11: Aurora 6.
Interlude 1: KSSR Launches Kaputnik.
Mission 12: Sigma 6.

They're nearly as bad as badgers. Build a couple of anti-buzzard SAM sites marksdwarf towers and your fortress will look like Baghdad in 2003 from all the aerial bolt spam. You waste a lot of ammo and everything is covered in unslightly exploded buzzard bits and broken bolts.

KAS and Remote do not play nice together. Removing one of the two may make your game not seize up and/or die. Bavarian seems to require KAS for storage of parts on a mission. Kethane is career ready. KSP will update soon.

Other than all that, have fun.

I'm finding intermittent reference on google to Remote Tech and KAS either being ok together, or causing game ending crashes.
Scott Manley's mod list states ""Remote Tech is being enabled and disabled depending on whether I expect to be flying in atmosphere or in space. It's causing the game to lock up after a single mission."-/u/illectro"
I'm not really sure what to make of that, I'm going to keep fingers crossed and see what happens.
If it isn't compatible I'll disable it, and RP some kind of remote tech influence.
Hmm, It seems that pilot attributes are set, I can't alter stats through restarting.

Yeah I THINK the forums found a fix for his issues, though it might not have been really optimal.

Also, could I suggest another mod to start with since this hasn't really begun yet?

Mission Controller.

It adds budget for your space program, all parts cost moneys and you do missions (usually of the "Gemini, Apollo, etc" kind) that give you moneys and science.

Its fun and teaches you to think smaller with your crazy rocket designs.

Hell, why not!
Mission controller added!. However there might a problem doing some of those missions with remote tech limiting my ability to do things at long distance untill I get a good relay network going.

Update 1
Rockets are fun!
Have you ever wanted fly like a bird? Soar through the sky at insane speeds? Jebediah does, and from an early age was interested in model rockets.
Thanks to Kerlington model rocket and paper products INC jebediah has been given an opportunity he can't overlook.
The company has generously given the young go-getter the use of their warehouse and access to their most skilled paper-craft technicians as a publicity stunt, to design and build an enlarged copy of their RT-1 toy rocket. The finest quality cardboard and tinfoil have been used to house a propriatary blend of hand shredded tires, scrap paper, plastic bottles, kerluminium cans, and oxydiser sourced from the local supermarket. This rocket is expected to boost the companys profile to new heights, at Jebediahs insistance a dummy will be carried by the rocket, a small harness and drogue paracute have been added due to the suggestion of JEB's brothers, that even though it's a dummy, it should probably not die from violent interaction with the ground, Kerlington agrees.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Jebediah insisted in dressing up as 'a spaceman' whatever that is, his outfit was handcrafted by his brother Bob from an acrylic fishbowl and leftover rocket parts, mostly tinfoil, paper, and for comfort;  mums white kitchen curtains.
The launch will take place at dawn, press from all over kerbin will attend because the local sporting teams are all on holiday and it's been a really slow news week.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Wait, Jebediah, what are you doing?
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Bob: "OMK, Jeb, that looks dangerous!" D:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Bill: "It seems he can steer it"
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Jeb manages to hold on while the cute deploys
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Was that fun?
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
That looks painful.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Oh you're happy are you? The press are going to kill us!
Unexpectedly the press love it, Kerlington model rocket and paper products get the best publicity they ever have, and Jebediah becomes a celebrity, accolade which he shares with his brothers. Eventually they buy mum some new curtains.

Update 2: WTF is a space program?

After the surprising events of last week every-kerbal is talking about rocket travel, and eager to capitalize on this many companies are clamoring to provide funding to anything vaguely related to rocketry. Seeing an opportunity Jebediah and his brothers apply for a small business loan and start up a company who's mission statement is "To conduct scientific research into the viability of rocket travel" . The previously used warehouse is leased from Kerlington, the company will also sell equipment as needed and in future may offer contracts for various rocket related research that interest them.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Here we see the warehouse, which henceforth shall be known as the Vehicle assembly building and also some surrounding buildings which may or may not interest us, of note is that many of those buildings are partially open for lease which will help us if some need exists for expansion, perhaps one day we may need entire buildings for different uses?
Note the budget, $50,000 is ours to play with! A rush of power, what can we do with it? Jebediah wishes to build a few more 'rocket cycles' but his brothers manage to convince him that 2 minutes of fun isn't worth half the budget, perhaps some local companies would be willing to fund some research?
Jebediah decides to have a look at the parts that are available.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Hmm, There's some interesting stuff in the junkyard out back, I wonder if kerboscene burns as well as that solid stuff they put in the model rockets?
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Jebediah quickly fashions a 'liquid fuel engine' to test his theory, Bill is not convinced and Bob is terrified.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
It seems someone else is interested in the potential of liquid engines, that's a nice fat contract.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
What's this? A surprise, Kerlington are worried that Jebediah might try to ride another rocket, and have designed much safer seat for him, even sealing it against the harsh cold air which Jebediah mentioned being assuaulted by during his short trip, Bill christens it the 'Command pod'.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
A rocket is hastily assembled and Bill adds an antenna so Jebediah can contact him from the air.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Now this is comfortable, Look at all those buttons!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
We have Liftoff! This engine is great!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
This is far more controllable, I could probably land this without the parachute.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Ran out of fuel, perhaps a larger tank next time?
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
"Crew report from the ground; The rocket kinda exploded upon landing, I don't think it likes being treated so roughly, there goes $4,000"
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
We got paid! Erm, shouldn't we have recycled the rest of that rocket? We seem to be down by exactly what it cost.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Look at all that science! Wernher looks impressed, Lets Hire him full time. Perhaps we could put batteries on future rockets so more science could be transmitted? Also Jebediah? You should report what's going on before launch, that could help us.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Perhaps we should develop some new parts before the next launch, Bob found some kind of interesting goo in the junkyard.

So, what's next? Shall I collect more science around the space center, or perhaps put Jeb into orbit?

Just a heads up, Mission Controller makes you pay 300 science to be able to do any rocket recycling at all, which is bullshit, but hey, something to look forward to. I guess you could edit the save to get that, I don't think anyone would blame you for that :P

Mission Controller is built around that science cost. It's .. odd for recycling, but how else would you pay? It's kinda there to gate your recycling and make it feel like you're strapped for cash in the early missions.

That's fine then, as long as that's a research thing not 300 per launch, which I immediately thought when I read those comments.

Yeah its a one time cost :P

If it cost 300 science to launch a rocket that thing better damn well land on every celestial body and spawn hookers on each.

That would be the mission controller mod..
I'm thinking of shoving interstellar onto this, because I really like the idea of power generation and putting thermal panels on everything.

More mods, Kerbal Engineer and Interstellar now added, I just need to figure how to update the tech tree.
And excuse the lack of updates, work,s been rather busy and I haven't had the energy for late night KSP shenanigans.
Edit: I the interstellar page mentions adding a line into the save file which says the correct tech tree, however I can't seem to find that line. I might need to restart, which is no big deal at this point really:p
