Cidney wants to see both of them boozed out of their minds because of how stubborn they are. He also wants to subsequently get boozed out of his mind so he can join in on the drunken brawl that will inevitably start.

See, you have this great idea. But... It could quite easily end up in Einar punching Colt in the face.

Colt would lose a brawl. Hands down. When it comes to using fists, he's liable to be taken out by a stiff breeze. I'm essentially going off the idea that Wind Magic affords him what little defense he does have.

...And using magic while drunk would have horrible side effects. I believe the canon idea behind magic is that using it too often, especially in a very stupid manner is dangerous. I remember Ewan in particular from the Sacred Stones passing out from practicing too much. Granted, he was a kid. But the same could happen to someone who is intoxicated and stupid enough to try magic, so I'm not going to allow Colt his tome yet.
