Bio:
Colt Rotengard was born with a gift. Conceived on the night of the auspicious Storm Moon in Eferia, great things were expected of this child. Born to a peasant family, the Rotengards, Colt was an odd child from the beginning. He was smart, brilliant in fact when compared to his parents and all the more proud for it. This pride would lead to his downfall.
For as much as his parents tried to appease him, he had an insatiable thirst for knowledge they alone could not satisfy. So when he was 14, he stole a great portion their life savings and purchased a spell book. Each night by candle light, he set himself the task of learning magic.
Then his theft was discovered. In a series of chaotic events that followed, Colton found himself between two armed guards and an Eferian Magistrate. He was put on trial due to his wanton use of magic in destroying his house, wounding his father, and then later attempting to evade the authorities sent to arrest him. The sentence was harsh. For his crimes and wanton power, Colt Nimbus would be put to death.
However, fate intervened in the form of nobility. A wandering nobleman had seen Colt's display of power, and was immediately made curious of the boys strength. After bargaining with the local magistrate, he was able to take Colt with him. This noble formally adopted Colt into the Nimbus and was afforded the right of the higher education that Colt so desperately desired.
Years passed like this until the current date. Given his status as a noble, Colt was able to join the Eferian Royal Guards as a Mage easily. Pompous and prideful, he looks down upon those he deems unable to stand for themselves. This fact made him the perfect candidate for joining the Princess Eleonore on her journey.
He was about to go on a journey he would soon learn to regret...
