You could just go play Liberal Crime Squad and try to seduce people for awhile, or ask one of the modders there if they'll give you the pick-up line text. All the most terrible come-ons you could ever want. :P
Not to mention the cheap-porn-worthy responses to said terrible come-ons :P

Well, yeah, but I'm assuming he'd only want them for research and isn't likely to hear those responses in this game. :P

So, I've been working on my character, and would like advice.

Should I get Blossom, Vantage/Celerity, or Cancel/Gamble? I have growth rates picked out for all of them.

Also, would this be an acceptable personal skill?
That's not a Knoife; This is a Knoife!: If Cidney(*pronounced sidney*) is fighting a sword-wielder, +10 to Hit and Evade/+10 to Crit(hard to decide...)

And I'm having trouble deciding between these two for the second one:
There's real 'gator in that!: If Cidney is using a healing item, up to +5 HP restored.
This is for Theryl: If Cidney is fighting Mages or their promotions, +2 to Base Damage.

My fault is gonna be a penalty while indoors or in a city.

If I had to guess, Blossom is no good because group exp pool. Gamble typically isn't worth it, I'd say. *shrug* for the others but remember that cost skills like Vantage and Celerity mean you have 30% less growth overall.

Edit: Allllllllllllso, I might be switching to Nomad since we have a mage and two healers. Things. I dunno.

Blossom is always nice because more stats on level up. Its like Fortune: you can never go wrong with it. Remember, Haspen has linked his special rule changes, blossom instead grants a +5% (non moveable) to every progression.

Vantage is a really nice skill, along with Celerity, but they both eat up thirty progression, which is kinda noticeable. If your speed is high enough, even if you have to get revive-danced (hope that you may never experience this) you can deal some nasty damage to someone because you counter first. An important distinction is the 'if your speed is higher' bit however. Your AS could be negative for all it cares, long as your speed is higher you counter first.

From what I can tell from others who've taken cancel, you won't see it come up until its in the twenties unless you're really lucky. Most people with cancel have gone almost the entire game without it coming up until they've promoted, even then just once every long while. I'm skeptical to suggest it in good faith from other's experiences.

Gamble is good if you have a high critical rate, but you gotta make sure your accuracy is rock hard to really take advantage of it. Its a multiplier to your existing critical rate, so it isn't nearly as useful if your critical rate is, say, five or something. It becomes really nice if you can work it up to fifty (very doable, our sniper in FEF has and if she hits its an auto-crit).

Gamble is good late game. Not so much early on.

Vantage is cool as hell. And because Noble Emblem is shorter, you won't have to worry about the reduced progression nerfing you too much into the late game because there isn't one!

Celerity- No one I know has taken it I think, but more move can't be a bad thing.

Blossom is better for long games. Its revised use has it increasing your progressions.
Ninja'd.

Damn.  I'm out then, unless there is some other way of acquiring the players handbook for this system.

Well, I was mostly thinking about taking Celerity for the novelty value of being as fast as horse and pegasus riders(faster only applies after promotion, sadly).

Yeah, I remembered what Blossom does with his system; that's why I had a seperate set of growth rates for it. But it seems like Vantage is the one I'll probably end up getting.

Any thoughts on the Personal Skills?

They all seem fine to me really. The one against mages is gonna be nice because as a melee fighter, unless you have good RES, it's gonna be a 'who can strike the other down in the first blow' kind of ordeal. The healing one goes without saying, extra health is extra health and it does wonders.

Sorry to hear that, 4maskwolf. :\ I guess if Haspen has no objection to there being two vets I'll make a guy so you guys won't be short a character.

'Doh, right, you're a scavenger. It still kinda applies however, dark is effective against magic so extra damage is always nice. Chances are they'll be less resistant to a blade though, but as to if you'll have one depends on Haspen.

Dark magic with vantage will be a fun combo I bet.
