-- COMMANDER: Dippler, you're in command of this one. Take it nice and slow. Capture an alien alive if you can, but no heroics out there.

Name: Sabal "Savage" Mathur
Gender: Male
Nationality: Indian
Appearance: A rugged, swarthy fellow with a neat beard, not-neat hair and a permanent scowl.
Preferred class: Rookie
Preferred weapon: SHOTGUN
Preferred equipment: Either a nanofiber vest or smoke grenades. Or a medikit if we have zero or one medics on the team.
Preferred tactics: Leads the charge, but does his best to keep the rest of the team alive, too. No nonsense.

Awesome letter home, sounds very believable! :)

Thanks ^.^

I may try to write more on occasion, providing Birdvig doesn't get killed in action. Speaking of which... I'll go ahead and volunteer him for the next mission and cross my fingers.

Lead him well Mephansteras!

Rickenbacker has two more days in the med bay.

@birdy: I liked your letter. Hopefully Birdvig will survive to become Colonel some day!

How much longer on the current research(Lasers IIRC)? After that, I demand highly recommend armor research.

I normally skip straight to skeleton after having unlocked carapace. Our supplies of alien metals are limited, after all, and we'll come up short later if we don't. In contrast, we'll also run out if we fail missions from lack of adequate armour. Hmm.

She might have at that. Although who knows? Even the holo-targeting might not have saved us, given the sheer number of high % misses we got. Ishmael's the same way. He might have made a huge difference, or the game would have just summarily killed off our corporals too. Hard to know. Break Man had a great Aim score, after all, and he missed almost as much as everyone else.

I guess I'll volunteer seeing as we're running low on men.

@darkpaladin: Hmm. Not exactly. There is one kinda like that which covers the entire face and another which is more helmet & visor but it has funky attachments on the sides.

In other news:

Just two days before we're going to finish researching beam weapons! Argh!

In any case, we're being given the following options:
India: 4 Engineers (Easy, no panic)
South Africa: §200 (Easy, no panic)
Mexico: Assault Sergeant (Very difficult, high panic)

Things to consider:
We're pretty much broke, although we could sell off some stuff so we'll have enough money to at least buy a few laser rifles once they're done.
Africa is happy right now, so while the money is nice it does nothing for us panic-wise to go there.
Japan is grumpy, but shouldn't go red since they're not the ones being hit if we ignore India. Engineers are always nice, though
All of North America is extremely unhappy, and an Assault Sergeant would be a nice boon (Especially for Worldmaster who's been waiting for one). We'd then be able to get an Officer School which is great. Except that we're broke and won't be able to afford it.
We have 2 Satellites that will be done by the end of the month, so stopping panic in any one continent is easy.

If we do the Difficult mission we'll pretty much have to throw our best at it, which means no Rookies. If we do an Easy mission, training up some rookies is a possibility.

Your call, guys.
