Sorry for the delay, everyone, my time is a scarce commodity these days (I'm getting married in...18 days). I'm hoping I'll get a chance to play this mission Wednesday.

Selling off some junk to get enough money to do something. Not a bad haul!


Sadly, not enough Power for the Officer Training school, which is what I really want. We need more boots on the ground!


And the route to the Power column is blocked off. Bother. So we're excavating it out and we'll build a power plant once that is done.


Short update, but I'm very glad I got a chance to play for a bit. I've been wanting to do this for days!

Anyways, solid run. Too bad we didn't get the meld, but I don't think we are in much of a need for it now.
Something to note - I was expecting Mathur to rank up into a sniper, after you gave him the shottie.  :)

Hehe. Well, there is still time for him to do that.






The sectoid is interrogated. It does not survive the experience. However, we have learned something rather interesting.

There is a link between the sectoids and the energy creatures. Dr. Vahlen would like us to put a priority on capturing one of the energy beings alive. Hopefully the next one will not be quite so resistant to the stun gun.




In any case we now have a research boost for any further beam weapons (lasers). That'll be handy.



What shall we research next? Lots of options open. I've defaulted us to Alien materials, since they're quick and a good thing to have just in case I accidentally advance time without going back to the research screen.

Feel free to ask if you have questions about any of it.

I think we should research the plasma pistol, personally.
If we go outfitting everything with laser cannons etc., it's just going to cost a lot more in the long run.
inb4 I regret these words as the team gets wiped out in a terror mission or something...
