Hey look at our spearmen lol? They're no better then farmers themselves except a little better armed. If any of these bandits have experience in ambushing we may as well try to recruit them and take advantage of it.

Our spearmen have no skills at all.

Didn't they fight and lose their last merc boss or something? I'm sure they have SOME idea of combat at this point.

Well considering they lost it doesn't say much for the groups skills. They'll learn if they live long enough and we can have them trained a bit by our bowmen so they can keep up and won't get us detected.

But we should try to recruit any bandits who have useful skills, we can still turn in those who don't but it'd be a waste if an opportunity to throw away skilled men.

The problem is that they would be disloyal they are bandits.

That depends on why they became bandits, good people do bad things to survive every day it doesn't make them bad people.

It's worth giving some of them a chance to redeem themselves if they have skills we can use.

or seavral. However, i would let them go if they help us find themain group of bandits. Taking them out would DEFINITELY help the duke.

But does it help us the most? We don't have to kill them to get paid all we have to do is make the attacks stop. No reason we can't pick up a few new recruits at the same time.

Okay a FEW can be recruited but not the whole gang. We just need to find them now...bump for tracking those bandits in the forest via footprints/people walking around with weapons.

A few is all I want anyway, just the best men, those with some skills or the most potential. The standard fodder can be sold to slave traders for all I care.

If that mistake is murder then yes that's how the world worked back then crimes like stealing could lead you to losing a limb in some parts of the world.

True plus the Duke is a cheap bastard. I mean how can you rub two coins/pennies and give birth to a thrid? Being chaper than Mr. Krabs himself.

Based on what? That they turned to banditry to survive? You can't judge a person based on a single choice especially when you know nothing about why he actually made that choice. People can change you shouldn't condemn them out of hand.

Besides they're no different to us, the only actual difference is we're being paid to kill people and steal from them and they're not.

Besides we don't have enough information to judge them at the moment one way or the other.
