I shall go in the direction of my stone, if anyone wants to come with me, I'm good with anyone.

Russ follows Cromwell, if only because 'Ren and Ven' sounds like a detective pair.

Ren

Turn 7.2:  On the gods and the origin of the Universes

So if I were to somehow become a god, I'd have my very own sphere of magic? Awesome. Do the gods interact with the world in any other ways?

Hurm, first a bit of background before diving into those issues.
...
Now where was I.
...
Oh yes, what I learned of MYRTA and the Spectrum War at the academy was nothing more then myths and half-truths. I suspect in the time since I have been there the curriculum has improved somewhat, but I have little doubt that its still far short of what I and now you shall know.
There were three primal gods, existing before the beginning of time, they all have endless names but for simplicity and consistency, we will call them LIGHT, DARKNESS, and MYRTA.
As you know, there are two primal elements, Light and Darkness. Each of the eight current primal elements is an aspect of one of these. Air, Life and Order come from Light, while Earth, Death, and Chaos come from Darkness. Fire and Water are variable, but in our universe Fire comes from Darkness. Originally however there were not 8 but 12 primal elements. Antio, Zagn, Perlin and Cincn all were primal elements as well, all belonging to MYRTA.
For an instant eternity there was nothing, and then quite suddenly there was quite a lot of something. The three primal gods created four universes. One universe, in the center of the other three was a mixture of all the elements, with none of them having primacy. Each of the other three had one element with primacy, another secondary, and the third element in decline.
They were:
Light, Darkness, Myrta
Darkness, Myrta, Light
Myrta, Light, Darkness
Most of the aspects of the universes they created were constructable with simple rules. But for others elemental power was needed, and thus they created elemental gods as well. GRAVITY, TIME and NUCLEAR are the three most notable gods they created in the variable universes. More interestingly they chose to create a few weak and bizarre elemental gods, while some forces that seem more logical to be elements are not. Among these small gods are SMELLOFASUNSET, MOMENTOFATRUERECOLLECTIONTHATNEVERWAS, and OGRIDIUM.

Were you to become a god, you would become a corporeal god. Self-ascended, your powers would come not through your elemental existence, but through your youness. It is possible in theory to steal the place of an elemental god, but I have never heard a whisper of such a thing being done.
The elemental gods do not directly intervene in the modern universes in any way that we would recognize. Their actions are to us, nonsensical and bizarre. To even the greatest immortal sages they are incomprehensible in complexity, logic and morality. The younger corporeal gods do intervene, but are extremely subtle and uncaring of individuals in their interactions, for even the oldest among us will die in less than the blink of the eyes for the youngest gods. It is unlikely that you will ever talk to one, or be able to concretely prove that they have intervened.

Just waiting on Joe's action, even if it is just to sit there and hide from everyone because he is crazy.

Ven exits the tower, bumping into Ren on the way.

-Eh...They gave me a magic pointer stone, said we have to go where it points and destroy some masking device. Everybody's dividing into teams and stuff. You with me?

((I am Ven. Harb is Ren. Is that so hard?))

(Lol if Bertram inadvertently follows his own stone. I'd be happy to go alone if Joe doesn't have a sudden conformity epiphany, but Russ gave his stone away.)

Sorry, don't know how I mixed that up.

Also, you never even went inside the tower, so you don't really know anything about what happened inside (although you are obviously getting the background infodump like everyone else).

Still need your turn Remu. I am aware that the game hasn't been very active at all thus far (for which the fault rests with me), but I still need your turn, even if you decide to just sit out in the plains for the rest of the game.
