Infinite Crisis-DC Moba! (Updated 12/16/14)
« on: March 14, 2014, 11:43:10 am »

Spoiler: Old Post (click to show/hide)

Well, my last pitiful attempt got...zero players! Which was understandable, since the game was pretty messy.

Lots of things have been improved since I posted last-the September update improved response of character movements, quality of life stuff, improved the website, tweaked the graphics to fix lag issues, and did a whole bunch of balancing-leading to generally improved gameplay. They've increased the character roster more than a bit (Swamp Thing is coming tomorrowish!), at regular intervals, though there was a rough patch recently...from what I can see, que times are good and the playerbase is growing, though slowly.

Anyway, I feel better bumping this game now. It's improved in almost every regard from when I last posted It's still needs time for improvement, of course. :P

The bottom link is that blatant referral scheme-you sign up with the link, if you get to level 10, I get rewarded. What's better than free advertising, right? :) So you'll be doing me a good turn if you give the game a fair shake, at least to that point.

Final bump :P

Seems I don't have any bites though, not from Bay12. Unfortunate!

Hmm. Must be a server issue. There's a bit of that going around.

I'm sure it will fixed...eventually. >>

I'd be willing to give it a go. Assuming the computer I am on can handle it. I've played dota2 in the past, but never really stuck with it.

Edit: Nope. Can't download.

Is it a server issue or your computer literally can't handle it, Cript?

In any case, I suppose ones first impression of the game, from this thread is apt to be negative lol.

I might wanta wait till gold release to try selling it to Bay12 again...

I can't download the installer, this is apparently a issue some other people on their forum have had so some dude put up another download for it. It seems to have solved some peoples issues, so I am going to give that a try.

I've signed up with your link (although I somehow already had a WBID - had to reset my password since I had no idea what it was, or how I signed up for it, though). Downloading/installing/patching/whatever now.

ugh now when I try it wont even let me open the referral link...

I don't hold this against the game...seems like a poorly planned "launch" type issue...I will keep trying though.

If you have trouble logging into the game (if it tells you to log into the website, but you're already logged in), try logging out of the website and back in. (Which is what I had to do, and it's the solution I found on the forums - until they figure out the actual cause of the problem and fix it)

They have a set of heroes available for use for free without purchasing them right now, and currently those are Wonder Woman, Poison Ivy, Batman, Cyborg, Star Sapphire, and Nightmare Batman. Like League of Legends, some heroes are cheaper than others and you can buy them with currency earned through playing (Merit), or with currency purchased with real money (Crisis Coins). They have a couple of heroes 25% off right now - but only the crisis coin prices appear to be discounted.

Currently the cheapest heroes to purchase with Merit are Doomsday (400), Poison Ivy (400), Gaslight Joker (1200), and the Joker (1200). Doomsday is a common sight right now, since you can earn 400 Merit fairly quickly. You get more Merit if you win, but you still get Merit if you lose. You don't get anything for Practice mode. There's also character level-ups and player level-ups, and it appears to throw enhancers at you every time you level yourself up, but since they don't show up as choices when a game is being set up, I don't think that's implemented properly yet.

My name on there is Traf (Shadowlord was taken, and so was Trafalgar. Oh well!). So far I've tried Wonder Woman, Poison Ivy, Batman, and Cyborg, and I'm definitely better with Batman or Cyborg. Cyborg seems to have more powerful abilities, but they don't fire immediately, so it's possible to miss with them.

Actually, you have to set up our mods and enhancers from your profile, amplifiers tab.

It's really clunky ATM-you gotta sort through the whole list for what you bought, and the search function is currently non-functional (lol), But they are there, and you can customize your chars a bit. Mods are for artifacts, and those augments you get are for general stats. You can have 3 mods and 4 augs atm, and there are three slots for building sets that you can choose before a match-with extra sets costing a bit to buy.

I seem to have gotten three peeps to sign up-accepted your friend request Shadowlord. I tried using Cripts and Adwarfs account names listed on my referrals to friend them, but it doesn't work. So I guess they have different usernames?

...

Anyway, I'll list my current amp for chars like batman and cyborg.

Attack Damage Set
Mod 1/Rapid Coda Blade (Wounding at lv 3)
Mod 2/Enhanced Atomic Axe (+AD)
Mod 3/Enhanced Deathstrokes Claymore (+AD)
Augment 1/LASER (+Move Speed, +AD)
Augment 2/VEX (+Move Speed, +AD)
Augment 3/FALCON (+ATK Speed, +AD)
Augment 4/DANGER (+ATK Speed, +AD)
