I have been reminded of an argument on the pronunciation of the word margarine.

It ended with a call to a margarine manufacturer to ask them directly. Then the staff started arguing over the pronunciation.
As a french, pronunciation of "margarine" poses me exactly 0 problems.
Always funny to hear englishmen using french words like it's english.
Though french do it with latin too so there's that.

"should have" vs. "should of"
This is what I hate the most. People who make this mistake really have no idea how English works at all and are basically speaking phonetically, without awareness of how verbs and propositionsprepositions work.
OH GOD THAT ONE.
also "I could care less", meaning exactly the opposite of what they mean...
Let's not even start on the it's/its, they're/their, etc...

EA games is like the dark lord sauron, and the gaming consumer demographic is like gollum.
Sauron makes the precious.
Gollum loves and hates the precious.

..Y-y'know you remind me of my elementary years.
We get a word wrong and then OHMYGOODNESSARGGGHHHHOWDIDIGETTHATWRONG?1
Then we get corrected in our usage but the pain to our...honor(?) or pride(?) is still there.
I-..I just..
Well I ca..
>_< Please tell me that those are occasional mistakes. Because the...train of thought in my opinion regarding this one brings on a lot of...erm, stuff.
Regarding this. And I'm assuming that they're quite not what I normally assume...

*ahem*
Yeah.
Though it is quite common for people to spell phonetically if they don't know the exact spelling of the word. I know.
I've done that until I learned how to spell the word/use it right. u__u

I have discovered something worse than two-point ellipses...............

Using an arbitrary number of points..... and using them instead of commas or full stops.........

The pain..........................

Welcome to the club.
Also, they were 2-point ellipses? I thought it was lazy people holding down the period a second too long.
