Imagine the glacier challenge, without animals and everything else, especially food and drinks costing at least 3 times the embark points... Then you know what I'm doing right now... in RL...
Yeah, I'm in Iceland for a week. Once I'm back (and not starved to death due to horrendous food prices), which should be in a week, I will tackle the Kobold Submarine again. I will make it work this time Or so I hope ^^ I may be online from time to time, but surely won't play while I'm here

So in a few hours I'm flying back home... Well... bad for me, good for you, because I guess then I will finally have some time to play again. Right now I'm not sure if I should reuse the old map (with the failed fort on it, as I have a different embark location on said map, so artifacts etc may tell stories from the old fort) in 4i, or try to gen a new world and search a similar embark location for hours during the flight tmrw ^^

Tbh I'm not sure, if there are any major bug fixes in 4j concerning me... (except the timetravelbug which I honestly don't care much about as it didn't cause any damage besides confusion and an occasionally slightly longer season)

I believe the training bug is fixed in 4j. Also, more bolds!!! Did you think about embarking on a curious underground structure?

PS: How did you manage your food stockpile in Iceland? Without any surface plants growing I imagine it was a difficult glacier biome to survive in. Was it an evil glacier?

So should I download the new update or not also cant wait for to come back and try again also cant you try gnomes for building it since gnomes are friends of nature?

Okay... Semi successfully started my second attempt (with 4j)... Will create a new thread for it. To answer the remaining questions here:

iceland: Uh... we sneaked from one special offer to the next one It was an awesome vacation, even though the weather can be quite unforgiving (not the cold, but having more then 100mm rain per day and heavy storm the other day can be really annoying... but didn't stop us^^) And when we were at the glacier, the weather was awesome, so I guess it wasn't an evil one Iceland is truly the land of fire and ice! Get there, if you can

About gnomes: Uh... not now... First I want to do this Kobold challenge, and as it was requested quite a lot and I finally had an idea how to make it an interesting challenge, I will play Warlocks once I'm done with Kobolds
