And therein lies the problem: y'all take the questions too generally and provide advice that doesn't suit their learning style. When someone doesn't understand the subject matter well enough to formulate a specific and appropriate question, the goal is to determine what they are trying to accomplish and point out the steps they need to take to accomplish it. When someone asks "How do I raise leadership?", they probably understand the basic premise of gaining skills, evidenced by the fact they're not asking about crafting skills which generally come earlier for everyone, thus they are more likely hung up on the peculiarities leadership has with respect to the other skills, but don't understand their lack of understanding well enough to compose a more informative question; that said, the basic premise of gaining skills is not actually in the game guide, nor is it explicitly covered in the tutorial.
Anyhow, telling people to rtfm doesn't help those who can't easily learn through observation and passive guidance, and gaining familiarity with any documentation tends to be coupled with the loss of understanding what said documentation looks like to someone without such familiarity.
Granted, pointing people to documentation is better than nothing, but being visually bitter about it only causes negative reinforcement for both the player trying to learn the game and the player trying to be helpful.
