Denizens of Therian, I present to you... the Dwarven Battle Plan to the corning the end-game:
It's important to realize a few things here. First, we want the best non-den materials for tools and weapons. The Den itself is going to be a massive investment of time and effort for each person to get into. In the more easily-accessible terms, we have non-kryan metals available to us if we have the skill to utilize them. The non-kyran best of tools is as follow:
Sieve - Blueroc
Awl - Eliandel
Pickaxe - Odiemel
Scraper - Eliandel
Blacksmith's Hammer - Domane
Trowel - Domane
Hunting knife - Domane
Stone chisel - Domane
Lumberjack axe - Domane
Saw - Domane
Scissors - Domane
Compasses - Eliandel
Pliers - Eliandel
Spade - Domane
Billhook - Gold (Blueroc is second)
Taken from this calculator and related thread:
http://www.shinhan.name/machines/tools.phpThat is, if you'll notice, 2 for Blueroc, 4 for Eliandel, 1 for Odiemel, and 7 for Domane. Of particular importance is the Blacksmith's Hammer, made from Domane and being the source of essentially all tools and weapons.
Eliandel comes from Beryl dungeon, which is its own hassle to collect but certainly possible, if time consuming, without exceptional planning.
Blueroc comes from the Whispering Forest (as well as the Den, but that's further) requiring a 20 forest, which can be beat using Pine Frameworks to build a mine and is not exceptionally difficult.
Odiemel comes from Shortblade Mountains, more on that in a moment.
Domane comes from Renaissance, which is the big crux, having a Mountain 30 it proves difficult to build on. The best Hawkorian materials only scratch a 21.
Thus, the issue is getting onto Renaissance, and the source is Maple.
Maple boasts a 20 Mountain Construction, allowing building in Shortblade Mountains (which is a 20 terrain). Frames cost 20 planks each, and 20 are needed per mine (thus, 400 planks for Rails for Stone, and another 400 for Rails for Ore).
Shortblade opens Odiemel, being the principle metal for Pickaxes, which should then be used to extract Lanfarite. Lanfarite has a 36 Mountain rating, which beats Renaissance terrain of 30.
Once 400 Lanfarite has been collected (which itself will prove a pain, at 40% collection chance) a mine can be built in Renaissance - using Rails for Stone. Renaissance has its own source of Lanfarite at 100% collection. This will make future construction entirely easier, allowing for Rails for Ore in Renaissance and a source of Domane, which then lends itself to all manner of tools.
As a bonus, Shortblades also features Marapis at 100%, which has 39 Cave, greater than the Den's 35, allowing for future expansion.
Breakdown:
Blueroc is a pain because of collection rates, but not difficult to build a mine in Whispering Forest.
Odiemel can use Maple frames to build a mine in Shortblades.
Domane will need Lanfarite, which can be extracted from Shortblades.
Maple:
Log Difficulty: 12
Plank Difficulty: 14
Frame Difficulty: 19
Lanfarite:
Lump Difficulty: 28
Block Difficulty: 28
Vault Difficulty: Unknown (30-ish?)
400 Planks/Blocks will be required for the 20 Frames/Vaults required for each 1 mine.
I'm willing to produce tools for this effort, including Extraction Pickaxes, Stonecutting Stonechisels, Masonry Trowls, and to a lesser degree, Lumber Axes and Carpentry Saws. I can almost produce Superior Steel of each of these. Those hoping to get tools can speed to process by providing money or materials.
