Sadly nope. There are some posts throughout the thread you should probably see, but the reason why they aren't is that the guild member limits are really low (5 then 10 after a bit of work, then 25 after an awful lot of work) so all the guilds are full (and although the Thanes of Toady are expanding to 10, they've got 5 people to invite already).

It's possible there are enough dwarves around for a fourth guild (or more); but I think the aim is to try to avoid that so we don't spread out too much. (Personally I'm kind of for making more guilds if there are a bunch of guild-less dwarves, but I'm in one so I can't really lead such a push)

Um, other random bits - I think the end goal is to wind up with two guilds of 25 after the second upgrades are done (but that's going to take a while - months probably). Also, custom chat channels should be coming in the next game update (whenever that is); although quite a few of us are using the Steam group to chat with each other at the moment.

Fauna...is more or less the combat profession, you get easy combat companions compared to others, so do a lot of quests to gain money.

Yeah, I've noticed the quality of the conversation in global chat going down dramatically recently with the apparent addition of a few new trolls. When one of the players said that women should drink beer because it makes them "more willing" I decided to ignore global chat permanently and switch immediately to the "private" chat tab when I log in. I suppose I should start joining the Steam chat more often.

It always surprises me that these games implement a global chat, and then leave it completely unregulated.  No mods or anything...

last time I saw this global chat it was by accident because I've missed to switch to the guild chat.
(thats nearly in all MMOs the same)

I hope custom chat rooms comes soon...steam chat is a little bit heavy (and Steam-Names vs Therian-Names are difficult to remind ).

So I'm going to work on getting myself an Inn.  I'm therefore after a Counter, Furniture, and an Ornament.  So any metal, stone, or woodworkers contact me and let me know the best your skill can produce.  I'll try my best to get you materials to fit.

Keep in mind that for an inn you need to reach 40 comfort and prestige. You need a complex cedar counter and a 34 (I think) prestige ornament, the furniture isn't important at all.

Good news

The are now adding a custom chat to the game of which I recommend the chat name be Bay12 for ease of joining. 

In other news, Watchers of the Bay has nearly gathered enough firewood and meat to celebrate Dwarven superiority.  Shortly after we will be buying our first domain to start production on wooden beams for the Manor.
