so finally i'm able to log in, that Escreed guy are belong to mine. i'm no longer on the wood trade since i'm restarting my char to take the fauna route.

Me and TNX are chattin about future features.

Long story short there will be PvP, due to how it works, if you get into a fight near an allied fighter, the allied fighter can fend off the other guy until the crafter presumably runs off (the ally might have to win), but this does mean some discretion in precise guild locations and such is probably warranted for the future, as people can sort've set up camp at a point on the map and wrassle anyone that comes through. I'm sure common travel routes are patrolled by NPCs or something to keep random ganking down but when that PvP update goes in we'll definitely want some people that are fighting focused that can accompany high risk targets to remote locations, especially if we're looking to establish that monopoly. So basically, if anyone was interested in combat, it won't be a sort've junky random item generator forever! And will in fact be potentially very useful, what with all the attention B12 has been drawing in game.

This is mostly an issue only after we've got a guild hall set up but I'm willing to bet we'll have a guild hall up before PvP. So yeah. Something to consider!

I guess first off is you can click manage and set up a home anywhere, but that may be common knowledge. The issue is it still costs 20 silver to expand the land, specifically when I set up a home in the swamp to test it would only give 66 space for 20 silver, 15 minutes and 3.6 effort. Combat is random but its a 10% chance of it happening when you "shift" so if your passing through an entire area the chance is each time the green bar fills, you do however auto-fight when you do get an encounter...not sure what goes into it but it takes 2 minutes to auto fight. The overland combat does increase your land skill wherever you are so training swamp wont be that much of a problem, just time consuming. The lowest terrain is 15 and it goes up to 35 in the mountains to the north so getting good exploration is an almost must. You will most likely come back when gathering and find your character is mutilated which you need to spend time resting it off.

To get to lanfar you need to do a bunch of quests that start in hawkoria after you finish the mushroom cave, first you go to ratkin cave, then serwin tower, then orogoi forest, then the abandoned cabin, then to landel which has 3 dungeons there each with its own monsters. Enemies in the southern areas aren't that tough if you can do landel, roughly 25 offense and a spread of 25,30 and 35 defense.

Now I don't know if you can make a guild place on lanfar, but I suspect you could, the real question becomes how do you do that then...

Gah. I suppose this means that I will actually have to look into adventuring gear then won't I? Though I suppose it shouldn't be to much of a issue. Considering I can make my own gear.

Welcome! Fashion is a hard profession for starters, I warn you. But, if you think about working on jewelry and glassblowing, we can make business together, as I need empty ampoules and vials for my potions.

Pretty much chose fashion due to how many smiths and masons there already are in b12. Something about dwarves and metalworking I guess.

True, but woodworkers probably would have been the more ideal, but you can level fashion rather easily with sewing since you can buy linen bundles en mass for a copper or two each.

The first guild from Bay12 has been formed and for now will be of mixed members until more guilds form.

So we need two more initial members, and to keep a balance we need a Wood/Carpenter and Flora.

Now, what I have learnt from making the guild.
You need a treaty which you can use to place a claim similar to home.  This will create your guild headquarters.  You get 5 members, shared storage place, cool icon on map and guild chat.

Do not build a guild in Highaerie Hills, there is nothing there for a guild.  Build a guild in either Whitestone Field, Shortpoint Forest, Silver Mountains, Berrrywood Forest, or Kingfalcon Mountain.  I said it before and I'll say it again, let's build guilds as communal production centers and let people build concessions to gather resources if they want.  I don't even know if you CAN build concession style quarrys on a domain, I would rather find out in the Silver Mountains we can't get sandstone lumps but we can get sandstone boulders. 

Also let's not make plans to make a ton of guilds, we need 3 at most.  Let's not plan one to be some general sellers guild.  Easy enough to have a Stone/Metal guild, a Wood/Science guild, and a Flora/Fauna/Fashion guild as a goal.
