Is there any actual use for identified common artifacts and tablets? Or should I just sell them?

The locket and effigy can be combined to make a talisman that can boost things like mechanical strength, the problem is it requires resign and a nugget of some type, later on you can make idols but that is in the skill level 30 range. The tablets are used to make bookshelves which is useful for when you have a concession, but you might find better.

I typically buy everything related to my work when it respawns, sorry if that's been screwing people in Teasan. I have so much firewood.

Also I can pump out handles/blades/chisels/whatever tools are generally needed now. Bronze is the only material I would change for, due to the fuel requirements.

I think you get it for accepting a quest. Otherwise, Teasans smith guy should have it.

Teasan village -> Workshop -> Talk to Sandson, he has ingot/nugget recipes up to Iron in the 'Foundry' shop.

I could do with many blades, if you wouldn't mind. Copper is fine in general I think, except for pine. Pine needs a stronger blade and I need to make a pine shield for one quest.
