Blow one night mining shale, then I should have the Quarrying to dig up liginite. What will I do with all this shale?

Cut it into blocks, save it for shingles, make clubs out of it.

If anyone is able to make coal give me a shout and I'll start throwing logs at you.

I can make coal, but every log you throw at me is just a waste.  The whole extracting coal over using wood, clay, little bit more wood in the form of firewood, and marl sand is pretty good for now.  Hmm, still need stone workers to make charcoal.  Beginning to like the little monopoly we got on that.

Its easier and faster to mine lignite with those who use Stone than it is to use the complex alchemy process to make various forms of charcoal guys.  Everyone's lacking fuel though.  The only thing that firewood is good for in the Metals set is for Tin. That's it.

Certain places will train you, and I think that doing activities in that environment will upgrade your skill.

By the way guys, don't hesitate to use the falconer's help tickets in Craneharbor, they give you low level supplies for free to get you started. I think you get like 15 tickets for free and since they have a timer, you probably won't need them long before you've spent them all. Just saying that because I know that I tend to be a packrat and never use consumables unless in the direst emergency and end up with loads of useless crap taking space.

Edit : Also, Archeology seems to be pretty lucrative, I managed to sell 2 stone tablets for a little over 1 gold to a player, and even without a buyer, NPCs will give you around 30 silver for each. Granted, I only got those 2 tablets after spending all of yesterday's remaining energy on finding common artifacts, but I think that's pretty good for my level. I also got over 30 common artifacts to identify, and they can sell for 80 copper each. Plus, you get notes that can turn into books that sells for a decent amount of silver. All of that without relying on external resources, so I'd say it's pretty useful to fund other trades. And later on you can make cool trinkets with some external resources (nuggets, resin, etc..) and they sell for gold coins at the AH (apparently).

Wow yeah, even junky potions sell or quite a bit. Just made quite a bit of silver off vision potions.

Naturally if anyone needs potion let me know, but!

Seems like potions boost a wide variety of skills dunno if it's possible to change what stats are boosted by using different plants or not yet.

Well, I was about to train Science and make myself a super-intellectual, but apparently that requires just about every other trade first, so I'm going to hold off on that. I would like to expand, though. I have Flora now. Should I go straight for Fashioning and start making my own vials with materials bought from others, or do Fauna first?

Are there any rules against having more than one account? I'd like to start a second character starting with wood and working my way up to metal and stone as well.

Science is dependent on other trades. The recommended path is taking up Flora and Fauna, then Fashion. You'll need Fauna for dungeons anyway.

Not sure about multiple accounts, probably best asking the dev. 5 characters under the same account within the same server is allowed though, so I don't see why multiple account is any different, but better safe than sorry!

Well, you can have multiple characters on one account, but you have to pay for extra character slots. Which is why I wonder if maybe they don't want people having multiple accounts rather than spending the money. I suppose I'll have a look at the TOS for anything limiting users to a single account.

EDIT: There don't seem to be any prohibitions against multiple accounts, so I'm going ahead and making a second one. If anyone finds out otherwise, please let me know and I'll terminate the new account.

Keep in mind that slot upgrades (multiple weapons, tools, added companion slots) are account-wide and not restricted to individual characters. IMHO it's worth it. I've been wanting a browser game like this for far too long so happy to pay the dev.
