Medens calls out a warning as he rides back to his companions, dashing out of range just before the dark mage could react and blast them.

"Be wary, friends! A robed demon and a dark knight lie beyond!"

He gallops back, finishing off the skeletal archer with another strike, before wheeling around and placing himself(and his rather less enthusiastic mount) in between Jasmine and the dark mage.

"I mean you no offense when I say this, but I do not believe even your clear skill in magic is sufficient to deal with this monstrosity, certainly not without you coming to serious harm; harm I will not allow."

Move to 8.13 and attack the Archer, then move to 7.13

: "Oh, for the love of...is this guy related to you, Shorty? I'm getting sick and tired of you guys assuming I'm made of spun glass or something."

"I do not think you fragile, milady. It is simply better if I am wounded, rather than you; not least the reason being that of all those here, only your magic seems to destroy these monsters with any ease."

He turned to her, and his expression became deadly serious.

"I take the code of chivalry very seriously, but do not think I am blind to all else, milady. I am more expendable than you, and I feel no trouble giving my life to protect another."

Jasmine looked at the priest for some time before responding. Her expression was unreadable, but her voice shook with barely-contained emotion.

: "Shotrin, I thought I asked you not to refer to me as flora again."

Shotrin cleared his throat, looking distinctly uncomfortable. "Well, to be fair, that was more of a metaphor than me actually calling you a rose, if we were to be technical." Oh dear, she's going to kill me.

Jasmine turned away with a slight sniff.
Shotrin's looking for a flower for decoration...this knight is looking for a damsel in distress...no-one is looking for me.

She took a deep breath and her voice steadied.
: "Anyway, as much as I hate to admit it I'm probably going to need help with that undead shaman. If I get a good hit in he'll implode like the rest of them, but my fire isn't all that effective against dark magic."
