"Very well, sir." It saluted and smartly turned, only slighted ruined by the fact it's legs had changed into digitigrade.

"Well, Assault Leader? You wish to converse?"

"If I understand correctly you will be the one leading the modification efforts that were agreed to on my request to the captain.

I need the drone bay refitted as a fighter bay and repair shop. I have the men now and I have the aircraft all I need is a place to park them. Do you think it can hold 20 fighters and 5 heavy assault boarding craft?"

There was a slightest moment of consideration. Beneath the helmet, the gel produced another few million nerve clusters for the computation.
"Possible. Will require approximately five engineers to attend each craft. Space will be tight, but possible. Launching may be the issue. Cannot launch all simultaneously, would leave them vulnerable to being pre-empted by enemy fighters."

A human would have turned to look at the assault officer, but Karma was no human.

"Your plan is possible, but leaves much to chance. I would not recommend. You may lose many nodes for little gain." The being corrected itself. "Many people."

Jesmia then salutes the engineer and marches off in the direction of the hanger her craft had been delivered to ordering her troopers to meet her at the ships.

Send orders for my 40 new recruits to meet me at the garrison base on the planet, take my current units down in the 5 C.A.C and have the 2 fighter wings moved to the base.

Send orders to the engineering team to begin the refitting under the Head Engineers command.
