I still have my gameboy colour in the left drawer of my desk- haven't played on it in a while, but it's pretty good for when there are blackouts.

Do you hold the flashlight in your teeth when playing then?

No, I hold it in my lap, or I get a candle. Generally it isn't dark out when there's a blackout though- I can just sit by the window where there's sunlight and stuff.

The emulator that I used to play those games was bugged and couldn't save, so I had to play through KH: Chain of Memories and Bleach: Dark Souls without saving.
I know those feels.

Knowing it'll all be gone when the battery runs out and/or a single death and that no matter how far ya go it'll be *poof*'d away later?

Yeah, love the lesson from those feels: You still did it, the journey and the thought counts, and even if its futile and unrecorded, your memory records such a thing better than tangible tech.

I don't think it gave me a choice? I played as Sora. I never fully beat the game, though, but I got really close.

If I still had it, I'd be playing it.

You know, I was just reading the OP for the beginner mafia, and I disagree that RIA doesn't work.  Perhaps within the context of a beginner game, or if only taken from an incredibly strict definition based on what it is defined as there, but it certainly isn't impossible.  For a large part, it's been my modus operandi in non-vanilla games as scum.  GBU: I basically blatantly ask NQT what he sees as townie, get away with it, and then proceed to wield that as a weapon to ensure that he believes I am town (and it worked).  CYOMasquerade: I propose a plan that is so crazy and town sided that people within the game don't seem to stop and question the fact that I could be scum and have a way to break the system (which I did).  It almost worked, but TolyK was a little more suspicious than the others and had the power to do something about it.  I'm sure other people have examples of times when they did something so outrageous as scum that people thought that they couldn't possible that they were scum.  Basically, hiding behind the shield of "no scum could ever be that stupid".

Don't go the way of Org, 4maskwolf. The more audacious you begin to style yourself, the more likely people are to lynch you day 1 just so they don't have to put up with your shenanigans.

Yeah, there's a bit of a slippery slope there.

I tend to be the most dubious in IRL games, which usually causes everyone to lynch me D1.
That said, IRL I usually kill myself as mafia, then get doctor'd. But that's a different story...

Also, it's worth pointing out that in GBU I was a 3rd party and not wholly invested in seeking the truth. Regardless, audacious play is more fun, wspecially when you get away with it.
