According to the threshold discussion, there are 3 active games and one in signups already. One appears to not actually be active, though, and the one in signups is losing players.
However, that shouldn't be a problem. I'll just move this train of thought to the Threshold thread, and if I don't get objections, the game may be up in... I dunno, less than 24 hours?

Is it just me, or do we seem to be loosing more players than we are getting?

We're down from where we were 18-24 months ago.  That said, as of right now we seem to be in a holding pattern; maybe even a bit up from six months ago.

God help us if we have to agree on pizza toppings at some point. There will be no survivors.

But we also seem to be losing a good chunk of the new players and life is getting a lot of the veterans.

In theory you should probably no lynch when there are an even number of players, in setups where weird things are unlikely to happen.
lolz is this relating to that thing they calculated on mafiascum where it is statistically beneficial at a certain number for the town to no lynch and statistically beneficial at that same number for the scum to not kill in the case of a no-lynch?
That's right, it means you should generally include a stalemate resolution plan in your rules.

Basically it's harder to lynch one out of four players than it is to lynch one out of three.

I suppose that's the benefit of the current beginner setup: there is a cop to scare the mafia into action.

And the fact that most games so far have been new setups, some with unkown powers.

A stalemate could still occur if the cop is dead, I guess it would be good to come up with some resolution rule.

Also, do note that this is a busy time for a lot of people, being around the end of a university semester.

I wouldn't know. I'm relatively new to the mafia subsubsection of B12.
What I do know is that the meta is confusing, relying on questions instead of votes. The only way to track scummyness in metas I'm used to are who they vote for and their reaction to having a lot of votes on them; I was caught off guard in Orbfalls. Of course, where as the Random Voting Stage only lasted a day and a half here, RVS lasts around 3 days on the GitP Games forum.
I think there is a bit too much of a reliance on the questions to provide answers, but the vote-and-otherwise based analysis can be broken (see GBU). A healthy mix is what I think is required, but either one requires player participation. The town won GBOO because of a fluke, mostly. One vote remained in play and nobody bothered to vote, so the scum doctor was lynched. That being said, IG delivered a timely roleblock that sealed the deal by confirming Opus to be scum.
Wow. >_>
A...fluke.
So you don't mind or notice that we CHOSE not to vote, huh.
It was a fluke insofar as the town really won due to lack of activity.  The scumteam missed their nightkill on the first night, missed a lot of their actions, and basically got screwed over entirely by inactivity.  Pufferfish took no actions because constant inactivity, and Caz, who he replaced, only acted once.  Superblackcat was missing much of the time as well.  Only WhitiusOpus was actually there most of the time.

My apologies if I offended you, Tiruin.
Yeah, pretty much this. I would've had Puffer do the NK that last night, but he was completely inactive. As was, I was really the only scum truly playing :/.

Just life. Maybe if KotM is still going around the middle of next week I'll put myself in the queue for it, but there's just been no time lately!

Also hey everyone! It's been a minute.
