Hi, my name is Alex and I've been unmafia'd for 4 years (irc patches don't count).

The resolve is weaker and every day, is a day I need to fight the urges... A new day without mafia...

But then I remember Webadict, who was always scum and didn't always get what he deserved.  And it gets easier.
It's fun seeing some of the old wretched, scummy, undesirable, unscrupulous hags around here...
Never trust a user just because he has been long... Never trust him because he sounds reasonable, in fact, the more reasonable that these guys sound, the more you should lynch them... every game, for whatever reason:

Leafsnail, Vector, Webadict, Cheeetar, Toonyman and anyone that has acquired reknown, for whatever reason...

If they start raging... They're scum.  And If they don't, they're useless as power players... Lynch them soon and often!
Heed my words.

Godspeed.  I was never here.

To truly excel at this, you've got to be effective without obtaining renown. You've got to be present and engaged while seeming distant and forgettable. In short, you've got to be not quite there: a psycho-spiritual state of being that I always feel like I'm on the verge of obtaining but never quite reach. Indeed, notquitethere is not quite there at being not quite there.

Hey Alex! I remember your avatar, although I'm not sure I've ever played in a game with you. Your advice is absolutely spot on in regards killing every single person who tries to use their own metagame to get you to vote in any single way.

I don't recognize you, but your advice is good. Lynch them if they are reasonable and lynch them if they aren't!

Reposting to here.

If you shortened it to 48 hours, then you could actually do a "weekend mafia" for those of us that are actually active on weekends.
I'll definitely do that if people would like, but seeing as I'm Australian the time zones might be a bit out of whack for that.

Basically, a 48-hour long "Weekend Mafia", for those of us that are actually active during the weekend, to curb the weekend inactivity angst.

Thoughts?

I had an idea, which is interesting to me and possibly other people? The game I'm hosting, One Day Mafia, only has one phase. What if it started with night, and the scum team could choose 3 people to kill? Each group would retain one vote, so they could elect to entirely eliminate a group from the game in order to reduce the number of votes the town had, or just pick off a few of the better players so they'd have less chance of being detected. Unfortunately, it wouldn't be very fun to join a game only to die before you could even participate in it.

A setup that is effectively mountainous with just one lynch is already pretty anti-town.  Allowing the mafia to take out the best team at the start of the game would just make it worse.

So, what's happening, aside from Vector getting into the cookie jar?

And Webadict noticing that, in fact, he was a webadict.
