(Front page is now a bit more organised.)

After trying a few more two- or three-word shouts, you come to realise there isn't much point in them if you haven't figured out how to use the first of its words in a shout. There's probably a better way to learn them...

You begin focusing on Ven, 'wind', the calm state of mind it brings and its gentle flow. It resonates well with your nature, and by the time the mage gets back, you've figured out the Evocation shout. You shout, to see what it does...

"VEN!"

Magic crackles between your teeth, and the shout seems to turn in on itself for a moment, before a Firebolt spell escapes your jaw. It seems that this shout needs the second word before it can really be used. Oh, yeah, and you know Firebolt now too. It's not the most effective thing outside of the shout, due to you not knowing much about magic.

WORD OF POWER LEARNED: Evocation! VEN, ??, ??. Wind, ??, ??.
WORD OF POWER UNLOCKED: VEN, Wind. Let loose a Firebolt or another recorded spell.

SPELL UNLOCKED: Firebolt! 50 Magicka. Throw a small ball of fire for 25 damage.

Since it's your new favourite word, you see if you can add it to the shout...

You nearly can.

You have an idea, and use lah, 'magicka' instead. And it works! It still needs to be unlocked, though.

WORD OF POWER LEARNED: Evocation! VEN, LAH, ??. Wind, Magicka, ??.

The mage approaches now. "We're ready," he says. "Follow me and I'll show you where the portal is."

Right, lets fill that walk with some chit-chat!

Aks the good lad how often and in what ways he worshippes magnus
Don't ask If - a mage as grand as him, not worshipping the one that makes all his feats possible would be very inconcievable to us. Exclaim distraught disbelief should that ever be the case! Else, dis/approve of his practice, based on his faithfullnes to his benefactor. Do so in a rather indirect way - we have a reputation to uphold.

Yes. If he doesn't, we should encourage him to.

You land on the ground and follow the mage forwards, towards the more open part of the square, preparing to have some more conversation entirely for the purposes of annoying him. You motion to speak, but he interrupts you first. "I've gotten wise to that, dragon," he says. "We're already where we need to be."

You're fairly certain there's no portal here. And what's that spell-

You glare at the mage's sudden teleportation spell. "Here we are," he says, using his counter-smug voice. "The portal's there."

It doesn't really look much like a portal you'd expect. It's a large purple crystalline orb of magicka. "Since you've apparently learned a spell already, I'll teach it to you now." He takes the spell, and weaves it between your teeth with a movement of his hand.

SPELL UNLOCKED: Artaeum Gate! 150 Magicka. Teleport back to Artaeum.

"We'll do it for you this once."

"Joore, I currently lack-"

You feel a sudden lurch and a wave of dizziness as you are teleported across the continent.

"-enough Magicka to use that..."

Well, you're falling from the sky, the air is freezing, and you're fairly sure that below you is a rather large bandit camp. This is the land where the men are big and burly and have beards, the women are big and burly and have beards, and everyone wants a drinking contest.

At least it has mead.

END OF PROLOGUE
_______________________________________

"Drey tol dovah zeyda..." He sighs. He's one of the few dragons left in Mundus, and he was looking forwards to finding the newcomer and giving it a taste of his voice. "Rigir bodein..."

With a great flap of his wings, he turns around. Their lack of use make it tiring to use them. His Thu'um is weak from disuse as well. Then...

"Goraan gein los ko Keizaal."

With a grin, he speeds up his flight.

Seems like this dragon and the other one are going to be meeting each other real soon.

Yeah... letsgetoutofhereasap
Let's not dawdle around an encampment of people with very questionable intentions, which are very sure to be armed and there being a very good chance of them having bows. Unless Akatosh foresaw our destiny to be a piece of armour, undoubedtly passing down to a mortal which would make good use of it at some point in time, resulting in the thwarting of some daedric plot at some - possibly quite later - point in time.

Sustenance?
If we need mundane matter to function on mundus, I say we should go find the nearest body of water. We either will find some fish there, or roast us some mudcrab. We actually would rather do the former, just based on the mudcrabs impressive bodily armour -which we find a pleasure to our eyes. What likeable creatures!

Being Shoutey
Seeing as this weather is a tad cool, how about we try the words "Warmth" and "Enchantment" - and maybe "Strengthening", should one of the two former fail.

You flap your wings hard, slowing to an acceptable touchdown speed. For a moment, the bandits are stopped in utter shock due to the sudden appearance of a dragon falling from the sky in the middle of the camp, but by the time that moment's over, you're already up in the air and flying away from the damn place. You begin muttering to yourself. "Let's go to Skyrim, he said... Natural dragon habitat, he said... Too bad he forgot to mention the neighbours..." That guy's on your list of people to throw off the nearest cliff, you're sure of it.

You mull over the words for 'Warmth' and 'Enchantment', but they don't seem to be doing anything. The shock of the cold is wearing off now, anyway, and the skin of a dragon (despite appearances) is well-equipped for dealing with sub-zero temperatures.

After flying over another bandit camp, that time in a bunch of old ruins, you spot a small stream filled with delicious mudcrabs. You pluck one of the smaller ones up, and search for a suitable roost to eat it in.

Pretty soon, you come across a little enclave at the foot of the nearby mountain, a little graveyard. You throw the mudcrab's body over there. There are a few skeletons there, but they turn out to be no match for the might of your Thu'um. Three shouts later, three skeletons are down.

You walk into the middle of the graveyard, and pick up the mudcrab in your jaws. With a flap of your wings, you're in the air again, and perch on one of the buttresses of rock that line the edge of the graveyard. Satisfied with the place, you tuck in. It's sheltered, and you doubt that a random adventurer or bandit is going to stumble along.

Also, if anyone can guess who's coming, I'll give you free knowledge on what a Word does.)

Hmm. Eat delicious mud crab. Then go get another flesh thing, because I doubt one mudcrab will fill up a dragon.
Okay, it might since we're small. How big are we?

I'm guessing ... Hmm, graveyard ... Could it be Boeliath or whoever has you kill a companion? That Daedric Prince of cannibalism or something?
Or oh wait is it that dragon in the Soul Cairn? Duurvenhir or something?
Or just Alduin?

One mud crab can satiate you for now, although it's more a breakfast meal than a proper one. A large mudcrab, a wolf or a goat would be for main meals.

In case anyone can guess who's going to arrive, please state what effect you'd like your shout to have.

Thou art correct. Specifically Unrelenting Force, or is it for the general "I shout the words that makes the peoples fall down!" effect? There's plenty more ways to knock down a foe than that, one of which we already know the word for...

Just the 'I shout the things that make the other things go ragdolly' effect, I think.

I'll flip a coin (*cough*randomnumber*cough*) to decide if it's inhalation or exhalation, then. Anyone else like to add anything before we meet our first adult dragon?

See if we can string together these new words into any known shouts.
Because completing more shouts will increase our versatility, and thus, our powah.
