If all debris and possible cover in the gate room hasn't been removed then remove it, otherwise build ammo and weapons, preferable at least one weapon per person, we should make invaders fight tooth and nail to take our base. Also build a science lab in the defensive outpost for quickly expiring items.

Begin testng the ground around us for same areas to expand the shelter. Continue research with 50% of scientists on weapons focussed on its power source, 25% looking for anything different between the humanoids and us and the final 25% on the snake like creature.

How would I go about suggesting a race for this by the way?

Is it possible to develop air recyclers that are less susceptible to clogging?

It's filtering out volcanic ash in order to bring in all the oxygen needed for everyone to survive.  Plants can only produce so much.

How would I go about suggesting a race for this by the way?

Fill out this sheet:
Code: [Select]
Name:
Appearance: (Keep roughly equal in height to the average human)
Onworld/Offworld: (In terms of if they are on Togtvortoi Baidal.  If onworld, racial percentages will be modified to include)

If Offworld, fill out the following
6 digit Gate Address: <skip this, this will be put in when they are discovered by the people of Shelter 0946>

OW, we're not using a closed circuit system. Well, that's a major flaw which needs to be rectified immediatly. Without a closed systeł, we'll be losing water constantly.

Besides, with massive volcanic activity our planet's biosphere has probably collapsed, so air quality outside is likely plunging.

We should try to refine our filters or add some kind of automated cleaning system. Maybe a small sprinkler to soak the filter every few hours to remove ash. It'd improve air quality and allow for a hefty population increase.

We need to enhance our water gathering system as well.

No water. Really, don't. Volcanic ash is the primary component in roman concrete. Throwing water on that has expected results.

The solution is simple, ionize the particles and use a magnetic field to keep them out of the filter.

I was looking for a more low tech solution. A system for that would need maintenance of its own to keep functional. We need something simple and easy to accomplish at least until we have a stable source of resources.

Air ionizers are simple and easy technology. Positively charged plate on one side, negatively charged plate on the other, and done. Then you just need to periodically clean the plates (should be easy, just wipe the ash away)

I'll take your word on that. I was a biology girl not physics. But sounds like it'd work and cut down a lot on the man power devoted to the filters.

That leaves improving our water gathering.

Accidentally forgot to factor in the creation of concrete into the water usage.  Now fixed.

That leaves improving our water gathering.

You do have a stargate you can use to go to another planet to gather water.

I'm thinking more self sustainable rather then export otherwise if our population rises and the gates damaged in any of the dozens of ways it happened in the show we've got a serious problem.

Exactly what I was thinking. If conditions on our planet are that horrid, then we really just need to pack up and move. That's why I propose we work on that camera bot brought up earlier(it won't take much labor, so it can be done with everything else). As soon as that's done, dial Aries, Perseus, Leo, Capricorn, Lynx, Centaurus,, and Earth

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.
