I am not sure is it bug, feature or hidden secret fun, so i'll post it here. Is it normal to have gnomes like this ones?
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Having bunch of those replacing each another on mayor position during diplomat visits annoying at least, it seems they have 100% xp bonus on every skill including social ones.

That would be a 'Mad Gnome', they are supposed to be fairly rare.  They get high skill learning bonuses in all areas, but are also very prone to going stark raving mad the moment things go south due to their high vulnerability and anxiety levels.

Thanks. I'll organize 4 accidents for most of them except one to keep them rare before I went mad myself with 5 "But I want to be mayor now!" gnomes.

Cant you turn them into clockborgs instead, or are those no longer a thing?

I haven't tested it yet, just started with gnomes (Geothermal power generator project already failed because they don't work at all), but i don't think turning them into anything stop them from self appointing to noble position. Madness affinity countered by sentient creature killing to get "doesn't care anymore" tag, but i can't do anything with already high social skills. Here goes down the rail fort where I hoped not to mass murder fort members  ::)

Clockborg conversions were removed a while ago, being replaced with the clockborg exoskeleton (armor) and clockborg brainjack (helmet).  I don't think either of those will have an effect on appointing themselves to noble position though.

Check the machinery and items section in the manual, respectively.

OK, so I'm going through this almost blind. How does one create the sheets in order to make magnets? I've looked thorough almost every single 'logical' (to me anyways) places. What workshop do you use to create them?

Sheets are made in the metalsmith's forge.  I'd suggest checking out the manual, the items section has a flowchart for the tinkering system at the bottom.

Hunh, I assume that you don't mean the manual included with the Masterwork install then. Ok. I will grab the other one now. Thanks.

EDIT: I guess that wasn't it either. Oh well, that would at least explain what was wrong with the manual I had from the Masterwork install.

It is in the Masterwork install.  The updated manual for the Gnomes is included in the zip file for the update patch.

So...why do Gnomes not have access to the Ore Processor? Are you supposed to not play with harder smelting?

They have an Arc Furnace instead.  It works automatically, but requires power.

So how do you get a dynamo now?

I can't find out how to make a Bar (Magnetized). I have a charged capacitor and no clue where the reaction is.

Edit: Nevermind, found it...smelter is a really weird place for it
