a1s: One country only.

Whoever wanted England: Wouldn't you prefer the UK?

Turn one will be up soon, but I'll have one demand: centralise all your orders in one post, and put the name of your country somewhere. There is a fuckton of player, so without a bit of discipline I'll never manage.

Aren't there other players in the UK already? If they agree I'll be up for controlling it as a group together.

Well, they're too small to matter (even together they barely compare to Poland or New Zealand, to say nothing of the US). But I guess I can go at it with just Latvia, of I must. Same orders.

Or you can grab another country. India, Brazil, Japan, there is plenty of big country without a leader.

EDIT: Inscription closed for turn one. You can still join (no player limit on this game) but you won't be processed until next turn. I already have to manage 15 players.

Turn 1
March the 4th, 2014

Global Crisis
Short Term
Russian Invasion of Crimea

Medium Term
Iran Nuclear Program
Syrian Civil War

Long Term
Climate Change
Peak Phosphorus

Okay, I'm going to ask you to re-post your orders below, with a clear label of the country. I know it's extra works for you, but it's a bit less work for me, and believe me I'll have work enough. Also, anyone that didn't give me a color is a different shode of pink, because pink is fabulous.

CANADA EH.

Form open borders with Americans... I-if that's okay.

Begin developing advanced weaponry please. (Weaponizing Pepper spray for military use sounds like a good first step.)

Begin encouraging economic growth.

Chinese Government Reaffirms Support of Principles of Territorial Sovereignty
Beijing - Earlier today, General Secretary Xi Jinping reaffirmed statements in support of Ukrainian territorial integrity.  He also expressed official regret that the the Chinese government's Russian friends found it necessary to enter Crimea to secure the safety of the Russian plurality in the region, and stated his hope that a peaceful solution would yet be found.  Rumours of Russian troop movements along Ukraine's northern border and the Pripyat Marshes near the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, however, make any hope of such a peaceful solution unlikely to be found.

Chinese Diplomats in Intense Negotiations in Central Asia
Astana - Senior Chinese diplomatic officials have flown into Kazakhstan and Mongolia today for diplomatic meetings with the governments of these nations.  Reputed to be held at the highest levels of government, the official content of these meetings has not been made public, but it is widely rumoured to be linked to the recent Russian actions in the Ukraine as well as the status of Russian minorities in these nations as well.

Chinese Banks Begin Diversification, Anti-Corruption Initiatives Announced As Economic Crisis Looms
Beijing - The Chinese Politburo has made an unprecedented statement regarding the economic health of the country earlier this week.  Intense debate was reported to have been conducted surrounding the so-called "ghost cities" of Inner China, which have been declared as symptomatic of a new economic bubble in housing and construction.  New, broad measures have been put into effect in order to safeguard against a potential economic crisis, and a new anti-corruption initiative had been declared at all levels of government, following on to the investigations into Bo Xilai's misconduct last year.  It is widely rumoured that these measures are being taken as a way for General Secretary Xi Jinping to secure authority in his person.

Also, I propose that the order in which turns are resolved take timezones into account. Therefore America would be first, then European nations, then Russia and Middle East, then Central Asia, then China and other Eastern Asian countries. Does that seem fair to you guys?

Isn't that the opposite of how timezones work?

Not really, turns don't have a fixed length, but they'll be long enough that time zone doesn't matter. Turns will be processed simultaneously, (Well, actually probably in the posted order or the inverse posted order for my own convenience, but we'll pretend they're simultaneous.)

Russia Orders
Foreign Affairs
Accept Denmark's offer confidentially and make them send assistance in the war with the Ukraine.
Deny Germany's demands as they have no right to make them. This is a purely Russian matter and the Germans should mind their own business.

War in the Ukraine
Route troops, helicopters, and tanks through Belarus by making agreement with Alexander Lukashenko. Send them through Chernobyl's zone of alienation and have them go in a circle around the more radioactive parts, sending them to the southern border. Bring anti-radiation pills and equipment, just in case. At the border, go over at night and begin invasion towards Kiev. Send in reinforcements and air support through the Belarus-Russian border.

Internal Production
Begin secret operation using FSB to confiscate several factories owned by those opposed to me using fabricated evidence. After getting the factories and saying they are now government property, convert them into factories of war.

Internal Affairs
Begin massive propaganda campaign supporting the war. All pop music, television shows, and magazines should have a song/special episode/special edition involving the glory of war. If this fails to bring up recruitment, begin increased conscription.
