Art learning thread: The lesson strikes back
« on: March 03, 2014, 01:54:41 pm »

*thread title subject to change*

So, here it is, no coming back from this now :C

Ok, time to bring this back to life. We'll do it differently this time though. This time around, this will be my personal improvement and learning thread where I'll be posting daily exercises and stuff I work on to improve. You guys are free to tag along if you'd like and even ask for help and all that stuff and I'll do my best to answer in a helpful manner.

Furthermore, mostly because it's burned a hole in my inbox, I'll be hosting the giveaway for the Ctrl+Paint tutorial this Sunday. Since I don't think the old list of participants isn't valid anymore I'll have a signup last 'till Saturday evening (we'll go by UTC becuse why the hell not) and then we'll hold the raffle Sunday morning. The usual forum giveaway rules apply, no escaped lunatics and people registered after today. Also it'd be real nice if the winner used the tutorial and shared the progress here :D

The list of entrants (entirees?) as it is:

Spoiler: Old stuff (click to show/hide)

Im in!

I'm quite excited for this, I haven't really had any structure in my art for a while now (3 years since highschool classes, and 4 from the last time at my local art academy).

(once you're in, there's no way out!!)
Uh oh.
Sadly i don't have the time to give a definite in, but as I've just been loaned a drawing tablet, I may do the odd exercise.

Definitely in, I've been working on learning pixel art so hopefully all of these lessons will apply to that as well.
