You shoot. YOU HEARTLESS MONSTER. Ah well. Anyway, it doesn't affect the cube. You have escaped its grasp, however.

David drops off the edge of the pit, stopping himself by grabbing the wall when his feet are about 10 feet off the ground.

Catch Hold: Wall climb DC (probably 15) + 5 vs. Athletics: D20 + 11 and reroll Athletics checks once, take best.

5 and 5.

You slipped down the pit and suffered, oh, I'm not sure where my rules compendium is, so let's make an excuse about how the 10 by 10 cube, having a Jell-O-like consistency, cushioned your fall.

Two in that pit of doom now. You'd best hope there aren't RAT SWARMS down here.

That would suck.

Keyleth shook her head in exasperation as she tried to figure out a way to get them out of the pit.

((Hey GM, what's the rule regarding picking up another PC? Could I do it?))

((Well, I think it has to do with drag load, and considering David's weight, you're definitely not going to be able to pick him up. You could probably chuck Perrin out of the pit, however.))

"Time to go!"
Grab Perrin, and get the hell outta here.
After he cuts the rope, of course.

"Er... how do you intend to get out? Hang on, how far up can you get this sconce? If we can get that up onto the ledge, we should be able to double up the rope and pull you out."

Before we try to escape, I'll have a look around for anything interesting.

"Oh, while you're here, can you do anything for my leg? I landed on it pretty hard."

"I intend to go up. If you could be so kind to cut or untie the rope from the the scone and climb on my back, we'll be going."
Word of Mending on Perrin. He can spend a healing surge.
Once he's done looting the place, climb up.

Kick down the door with the fiery sword on it. Sorry I haven't been more helpful, friends; I appear to have been daydreaming.

Erza walks over to look down the pit where the others fell in and shakes her head sadly at them before pulling out a rope.

Take out the rope in my standard kit, give one end to someone sturdy to hold and toss the other end down the pit for the others to use to climb up with.

Seeing the rope being lowered down, David shouts up.
"Would you kindly allow me to try and rescue myself and the intended target of the rescuing before we get rescued?"

"It's not just that, friend Tiefling. I also fear that our weight, which must be over 25 stone, maybe too much for you. I have no wish for you to suffer the same fall as me."
