You find a passage, big enough for both of you. A bit too large for the both of you. However, the real problem is that the passage has a pair of massive rats inside of it. Two dragonborn aren't going to bode well with these vile fiends. They look like they're sick too. Perfect.
Move beside Gararhn to prevent flanking and use dragonbreath (minor action)
Spoiler: dragonbreath (click to show/hide)
Fear my glorious flames, vile corrupted beasts!

Then, kick the nearest one in the face with furious smash (standard action)
Spoiler: furious smash (click to show/hide)
C'mon, Garahrn! Let us destroy these twisted creatures!

Erza, seeing how everyone around her had run off looking like idiots, decides to calmly follow the path where the smallest amount of the other people went down, using her streetwise skills to follow the trail.

((Erza's speech will be coloured like this.))

Do we intend to kill those thieves or turn them to the authorities? For all we know, they might not even have those jewels with them.
Bringing them in for questioning would probably be most beneficial.

Patiently wait until Rhogar is finished breathing fire. Then charged with the sword drawn to attack one of the rats. (Roll for initiative)

Alright, I wrote the entire post and then accidentally deleted it, so...

Zako, you found the door at the end of the alley that no one else went down.

Shadowhammer, you dealt both rats five and then dealt one an extra 2 with your furious smash. Ultimuh, you then placed first in initiative and dealt sixteen damage to the one with seven damage, so now one has five and the other has 23 damage and is bloodied.

Ensorceler, the bandit you damaged hobbled up to you but his attack failed.

Yes, your attack hit, Immaterial.

Cmega, the guy in the bar says:

"Yesh, I knowsh about teh theft. I'm one of the theefsh."

Mastahcheese, you got through the tunnel problem-free.

Sirus, your request will be handled once everyone else has caught up to... somewhere.

So the thief didn't do anything? I guess I'll use Word of Exchange again.

Gharahrn will attempt to finish one of the giant rats off with a sword to the neck.

((He's still alive? That's a hardy thief!))

"Whoops! Hello there."

Throw a knife to hit his other knee.
"You don't have to kill yourself, you know."

Quick Swap: Draw another knife from my belt.

Oh yeah; Ensorceler jumped them after tricking them, and you just sort of fell out of the sky, so... yeah.

Just to make sure, protection or destruction?

Damirion flinches for a second, but then he catches himself and puts on a bigger smile than before.

Well, that's quite new. You know, you beat me fair and square. Do tell me all about it, I'd like to know how you did it.

He calls out for the bartender.

Hey man, can you get me some ale? And for my mate here, bring as much alcohol as he wants.

He then whispers discreetly at the bartender, handing him 3 gold pieces.

Bring this guy the strongest ale you got. I need him out as quick as possible. Guy's done some nasty crimes. You can keep the change, and tell me if I need to pay any more.

The bartender looks at you for a moment, then nods. He comes back with a few pint glasses of honey colored liquid. He gives them to you, and you take a testing sip of one glass; it seems to be liquor with some honey dumped in. You hand the drunken bandit the glasses, with a warm "This is on me." He takes them and begins to quaff them down.

A few drinks later, he starts talking.

"Ohsh yesh, we hash all the crownsh' joolsh. I wash in heersh at the timesh, but the gang'sh probably backsh at our hidey-h*burp*ole. Here, lemme show'sh ya theresh.

((He's still alive? That's a hardy thief!))

"Whoops! Hello there."

Throw a knife to hit his other knee.
"You don't have to kill yourself, you know."

Quick Swap: Draw another knife from my belt.

You fling your knife at the bandit, and it breaks his other kneecap. Do you intend to kill him or take him alive?

Gharahrn will attempt to finish one of the giant rats off with a sword to the neck.

With a simple flick of your wrist, you effortlessly behead the weakened rat. Time to finish off the other one.

I agree; we should capture, rather than kill them. Should we give them a chance to surrender, or just run in and smack them unconscious? But either way, we'd best take care of these rats first.
Basic attack the same rat as Gararhn (if he doesn't kill it) or the other one (if he does).
((the rats don't appear to be fighting back... was that a surprise round for me and Gararhn?))

(Yes, it was a surprise round. They didn't quite know what you were going to do.)

Since Gharahrn has just hacked the weakest rat's head off, you move onto the second one. You hack with your sword, and the rat is nearly bisected as you deal a whopping 22 damage! The rat's fur turns all maroon due to a combination of singed fur and blood. It only has about ten or so hit points left!

Suddenly, the rat jumps on you! It tries to bite through your armor, but its teeth are unable to penetrate your thick scale armor.

The other rat attacks Gharahrn, and it fails to bite through his armor either.
((the other rat doesn't have a head.))
