((Next time, it would be helpful if you told us whether the troll beat us for initiative or not, and where it moved, because if I had known that it would move first, and enter melee range, I would have just smacked it with my sword. It's fine this time, though.
Also, not that I'm complaining, but the troll should have gotten an opportunity attack when I used a ranged attack when adjacent to it, I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong.

((Yeah, I know that I should have done the initiatives. I'm starting to get the hang of this, though, and will probably run the next quest much more smoothly. Probably. Meaning "I'll halfheartedly actually try to calculate initiative next time". ))

I'll run through the calculations and dice rolls tomorrow, it's too late for me to effectively roll dice and add the rolls up,

(Uh... garrote does 1d4 base damage. And Attack Finesse and Assassin's Strike do +1d8 and +1d10, as long as you recognize grappling hook strangle as an attack of any kind.)

You exit the tunnel and scale a house wall. You see the nearest "major church" is the official miniature cathedral behind the castle walls, and walk on rooftops on your way to the castle.

Do the obvious and loot all the things from the bandit dwelling. If there is furniture, also consider selling the base to a real-estate agent.
