1st of of granite

Those fantastic words! First of Granite! oh how i adore them.

Have any of you ever been on a carnival ride you wished would just fucking end?

Murderwheels is a ferris wheel of death! And i'm getting the fuck off it now. I paid my toll and took the ride.

Btw, enjoy knowing what your dwarf's are going to be eating for awhile.

Oh i certainly will stick around, what that fort gave in pain, it equally dished out in pleasure.
and yeah, murderwheels is an perfect name. Like rotating waves of death!

Save is uploaded

To next OS;

Stocks of brew are slowly declining, i set up new stills, but without caravans coming in frequently will be hard to maintain drink for another couple years.

Also, `Stoneballs` the Child Stonecrafting prodigy i'd like to have Khahm's original room, when she is of age.

This fort wouldn't survive another year of me, but maybe in the near future i'll have some more !!FUN!! with her.

Your 7 IC posts have been linked in the OP, along with the save. Given that there's only one OS running, Peregarett, the fort goes to him by default.

Thanks!

Downloaded the save and getting familiar with the place. Gar is alive and happy, that's nice. He's training sword skill with his bow, that's strange, but ok.

Stocks of brew are slowly declining, i set up new stills, but without caravans coming in frequently will be hard to maintain drink for another couple years.
We've got 1234 units of booze. You call that 'declining'?! Also, 1543 items of food, the most of that is various roasts. I think that's enough for now.

We've breached caverns and mined quite enough of adamantine. Nice. But need more secure entrances on each cavern.
And thing that itch my sence of perfection is the piles of worn cloths everywhere. And we have a huge stock of rope reed cloth and dimple cups. I think it's time to throw into magma every worn thing and tailor brand new cloth!

Military looks fine. A squad of fortress guard swordsdwarves led by Gar, two squads of hammer and mace dwarves, one spear squad, one squad of xbowdwarves and a RIN members of two swordsdwarves. Total 35 military dwarves. We lack axedwarves though, I think adamantine axes would be nice.

Ok, enough work to do, and plans are clear.

Flame, I think this need to be put into rules, along with any other challenge rule that we have here. Are there any more?

Try to avoid putting women and children into military when possible? Try to go 1:1 ratio between civilians and soldiers? RIN squad guys have to have food-related profession names? Yeah, I think there is some left^^.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

We lost 100-150 per month, and i was brewing with two stills.

Once i set up 4 it stabled out, but human caravan got ambushed by siege, and dwarf one didnt show up in the long fall siege.

But yeah, that place pretty much runs itself, other then the constant FB's and sieges, totally badass fort.

Cavern defense... shit, i should have thought of that. BTW, BEWARE OF THE WEBS.

Goblin siege is caged and their cages were set on fire. So funny!

Haven't done anything yet except for setting coffins for burial. We have a lot of unburied dwarves for some reason
