Well I would have had fencing but I dropped everything to get our iron industry up and running.

I am actually taking fast moves next I have decided. Bull rush should like me start fights easier than hoping to time a stomp.

I found a bunch of places north of Seriyou, one is a camp that is fenced. Another is just a leanto. Are these any of ours? Don't want to rob any Bay12ers blind.

If it's that fenced camp with a bunch of hollow logs in it, it's been there before I was. Go nuts.

This actually looks like a fairly nice place. Apparently I can make it my homestead as well...anyhow there are like 2 keys and a key ring, and a bunch of empty baskets surrounded by hollow logs.

Yeah, if you can make it your homestead then the previous owner has abandoned it for respawn purposes, it should be safe. No guarentee he won't drop by again, but the terrain to the north seems rather rough, and it's not like there's anything terribly good around there worth coming back to, sooooo I'd be willing to bet it's legit.

Does clothing actually have any purpose in Salem?

You can socket artifices into it which adds bonuses to various things, like woodworking or butchery speed.
Different clothing has different slots, as well as difficulty for slotting.

More accurately any slottable can be put into any slot, but if you match skill affinities (so a cloak and dagger artifact into a cloak and dagger armor piece), it'll use the lowest possible difficulty for both.

So yeah, match as well as you can!

Our smelter is up and chugging away!

Meanwhile I am working on compacts and constitution which means that in a few short days we will have an actual, honest to god town.

I have in the neighbor hood of 700 silver still so hopefully we can get more people killing crickets and chipping in. Charters cost 2500 silver.

If you have a character and are trying to walk your way towards us, it is probably best to just make a second character and use one of the HS. We'll feed and inspire you until you catch back up to your former self.

How far away is your town from Seriyou's?

Probably a day's walk, just out of trying to walk there. Note you'll have to cross a mountain, and these aren't HnH's Mountains, they're genuinely kind've hard to get around. Consider bringing a rope.

...sounds like a hell of a long way then. Although our area is pretty barren besides us, just a bunch of ominous abandoned leantos. Just like HnH.

Supposedly there are some people up north, but the only interaction we've had is them killing Imo when he was still hanging with me. So yeah, be careful up north. :P

I'm not exactly sure how far up north, is the thing. I've been significantly farther north then that camp and never saw anyone.
