Anyone have an idea for the name for the first operation?  I'm running the game right now, and while I can possibly come up with a name myself, I would like to have as much input as possible in the 'fluff' aspects.

: "Shut up, scientist, I was making a turnaround."
"For one round, and you only got five dollars
: "I am afraid this is an urgent matter."
: "Fine.  I'll be back to get the money back later.  So what am I needed for so urgently?"
: "There is an unidentified craft not responding to hails in south-east Washington state."


: "No shit.  Send in an interceptor.  Good thing we kept one in reserve, and only had one on patrol.  You wanted both out there."
: "It would have doubled the area of coverage, and possibly found it, but yes, we wouldn't have been able to catch this one.  That may have wound up being a fiasco to explain to the council."
: "Yeah, yeah, holy shit that craft is fast.  And good maneuvering too, that thing turned sharply from a vector towards Vancouver."
: "Interceptor closing in.  Pilot, do you have visual contact?"

Next post will detail the actual Op.  Only posting this now because it ends with a good point.  Seriously, night vision has been around since WWII, why would X-Com not have some.  I am going to provide a reason, though, rather than just skipping that little detail.  Next post (in an hour or so, maybe) will have Operation Deep Battle.

Edit: Dear god, D. Kaos took only 1 step outside the main hatch and was killed.

Moving and then dropping smoke usually works, at least on lower difficulties, but yeah.
