Runa suppresses a glare and nods slowly with a neutral expression.

He grins slightly wider, "That's good to hear. She could use more friends. She always leaves in a huff if we try to pry. So what's your name?"

He nods, obvious to her discomfort, "Runa? That's a name I've never heard before... Are you from around here?" The other patrons lean in to listen on and offer a few questions of their own, ^{"You go to the same school as Yuuko?"} _{"How are your parents doing?"}

"Yes... yes... and... WHY DO YOU CARE!?" Runa glares menacingly at the man, having lost her composure at this point.

The door creaks open and Kano wheels inside, disregarding them and stationing himself by the stand.
 "One bowl of ramen."

The man shrugs apologetically, nonplussed by her aggression. He leans over to the man on the other side of him to whisper, _{"Just like Yuuko."}

The door creaks open and Kano wheels inside, disregarding them and stationing himself by the stand.
 "One bowl of ramen."

The woman behind the counter nods, handing Yuuko her bowls before she shuffles around for Kano's order. As she and her husband works she chats with him, "How is your back today, Kano?"

Yuuko hands Runa her bowl of noodles and grins at her. "Don't mind them. They're just old and lonely."

_{"And stupidly nosy."} She mutters as she gets a small bag of spices from her pocket and pours about half into the bowl before mixing them in with her chopsticks.

Yuuko grins and pulls out a similar package to add to her noodles, "Yeah, pretty much. And pretty closed-minded and petty, but I like each and every one of them."

She sighs, "I'm just trying to be polite. You kids these days have no manners. If I said that my dear, long departed mother would wash out my mouth with soap twice every day." She shakes her head sadly and hands Kano his order.

 "Talking about someone's disability which forces them to suffer through agonizing pain through every moment of the day isn't exactly a good topic of conversation," he coldly says with a glare. He lets out an angry sigh and begins to eat his ramen.

Runa sighs and starts eating. Atleast they hadn't asked about her missing arm.

"Talking about someone's disability which forces them to suffer through agonizing pain through every moment of the day isn't exactly a good topic of conversation," he coldly says with a glare. He lets out an angry sigh and begins to eat his ramen.

She shakes her head, "And my arthritis is terrible but you don't see me yelling at everyone if someone mentions it." She turns away, mumbling underneath her breath about not getting enough respect these days.

Runa sighs and starts eating. Atleast they hadn't asked about her missing arm.

Yuuko eats her noodles quickly. She wasn't lying, they are truly mediocre. The other customers give the pair the space, whispering quietly among themselves.

Runa is glad for her spices making it much more bearable for her. When she finishes, she reaches her hand to hold Yuuko's, just in case she tries to punch one of the whispering creepers.

Runa grits her teeth, fighting the urge to punch this kid who thought he knew pain. Self centered as almost all mankind as usual.
