Welcome to the Doom RtD, co-GM'd by myself and Scionox. Naturally, when we say Doom, we are of course referring to the PC game Doom, in which you combat the forces of Hell with lead, rockets, and plasma.

Scionox will be providing maps and on occasion, screenshots.

The rules and explanations for various things are contained in the spoilers below. We will be using a d20, rather than the traditional d6. If something is not explained, please first use common sense to determine it (For example, no firing 25 super shotgun blasts in one turn), otherwise don't hesitate to ask.

Combat will follow the Chunky Salsa rule, and bonuses and penalties will be applied as is appropriate for the situation. Enemy turns will take place after player turns.

As is Doom tradition, there will likely be many secrets in this game. This statement may or not apply solely to secret areas. Things will be changed slightly in favor of realism, but there will be many elements taken straight from the game.

Please bold your actions. If you have changed your action, please strikethrough the previous action.

We will be accepting five characters at a time, and any more will be on the waitlist. First come first served, however we reserve the right to refuse any character sheets for any reason. Chances are, people shall be brutally murdered at a relatively high rate, so don't worry about not getting a turn.

The Codex contains miscellaneous information about various things contained in the game, such as additional information on weapons or enemies that may be discovered in the future.

No information has been obtained as of now.

Other than forgetting to remove the comments (which isn't that much of a problem, mind you), looks fine to me.

An alarm rings out through your barracks, waking you from your slumber. Shaking off a brief period of disorientation, and the nightmares that have plagued your recent nights, you remember where you are, and what your purpose is today. You are currently on a base on Earth, in northern Canada, to be specific, where a teleporation chamber has been constructed, leading to a research base on Phobos. Wasting no time, you go through your morning routine as quickly as possible, and gear up with the standard teleport kit. Due to the massive distance, you are only capable of bringing a single pistol and additional clip as weaponry - any more could potentially disrupt the pattern. Contact had been lost with the base seven days ago, and only today were they capable of restoring the teleport link. You are not certain what you shall find, but whatever it is must be powerful.

After gearing up, you approach the teleport, and head through, one by one. You feel nauseated just by standing near the active teleport, as if it were something that simply should not exist in the natural universe. Stepping through only fills your vision with a flash of green light, and you collapse to the ground at your destination. It only takes you a few seconds to get your bearings, and you survey the area.

The teleport destination appears to be a relatively-empty hangar bay. To your left is a large, and thankfully sealed, airlock, as well as a few cargo containers scattered throughout the room. While the larger ones appear neatly stacked against the wall, the smaller ones appear to have been thrown haphazardly across the room. Glancing at the floor, you see a number of civilian corpses, most of them suffering what appear to be severe burns, others were struck down by what is quite obviously firearms, judging by the spent casings near one of the doors, and others still appear to have been violently torn limb from limb.

You see four potential exits to the hangar. One is a large blast door, on the wall opposite the airlock. Another is a smaller door used for personnel, roughly twenty meters away on the wall across from you. Behind you is a conveyer belt, with a cargo lift leading further down, however the lift appears to lack power at this particular instant.

In the event that a member of your team is fatally wounded, another member will be teleported in as soon as you are in a safe location. The fourth is the airlock itself, though you do not currently have a means of opening it, as you cannot access the control room overhead the blast door, nor do you possess sufficient protective equipment to survive in the resulting atmosphere.

You are free to do as you choose. You are all equipped with communicators.

He thinks to himself.

Not particularly waiting for any of his teammates responses, Rock searches the smaller crates for anything useful and then cautiously opens the smaller personnel door.

Something serious. Lets not fuck around.

Join in the scavenging of anything useful from the crates, then assume a safe firing position to cover the door as it is opened.
