From what I heard on the SALES thread, the Winter sale goes from the 18th to January 2nd. Probably a similar format to previous sales, with daily deals and flash sales lasting roughly 8 hours.

Dammit Sinistar, why'd you roll so low? :P
I apologize for bringing shame and dishonor to people who entrusted me with their votes.

I shall now commit 100 pages of seppuku.

And I also apply again for Valkyria Chronicles. Late entry, hooooooo!

Okay, so my internet popped out and then back on, and I'm working on the next story update. It should be ready to come up tomorrow.
Here's a small hint: Jason.

Afterwards, It's more prep for me.

I'm also hoping for suggestions on what to do about the sale.

To catch specific deals on sale, the "daily" deals could be reasonably easy to check, if the presentation is still as visible as in past years, and if they still last 48 hours.

I (and I hope others agree) wouldn't want you to waste your time repeatedly re-checking flash sales, that'd be awful - you're already being so generous as it is.

SHAMEFUR DISPRAY!

As for sales - I'd suggest you just do it like you normally do. If games we apply for are by any chance on sale on the day you roll the dice, you just pay less.

The other possibility would be running mini-giveaway every 48h so people could apply for games that are on sale at that time, but personally I wouldn't want to burden you so much.

Delivery could also be deferred until the title bubbles up on the front page.  While the community and flash sales have a surprise here and there, the daily features and most of community/flash sales are fairly predictable.  This would minimize extra work, and get more bang for the buck.

That sounds like a really familiar structure. Pretty sure there was a giveaway within the last year that did exactly this. (Quite possibly this very thread. :-\ Damn memory.)
Worked out pretty well. Would suggest a similar structure. :)

I like this idea. Rather than normal win rules, you could get your entry added to a master list to be fulfilled by daily deal when it comes up if possible, and before the end of the sale if not.

So for instance, n9103 enters for Warlock II, but rolls a -4 and so gets nothing. Meanwhile Shakerag enters for The Incredibly Bad Porn Machine 3000, and so of course rolls a natural 20. So his name goes on the list, and either Blaze checks said list for daily deals every day or two, or more likely Shakerag or some other helpful helper points out when it's on sale so Blaze can snatch it up. If the sale is missed or never happens, it just gets picked up at a likely discount prior to the sale ending anyway.

The one snag, other than being slightly micromanagement-intensive, is calculating the cost, since we don't know for certain how much that will be and calculating 80% of a $17 game going back to the budget might get tedious over the long run. I suggest more helpers if it does.

I don't know the implications of committing sudoku, but if it has anything to do with solving number puzzles it already sounds like a terrible way to go.

Time is a bit of a problem for me as I'm currently doing a lot of work for family activities. And putting it aside for this giveaway, while I'd like to as I've been neglecting it a bit, is a big no-no.

There's still two more days before the sale starts, hopefully I'll think of something by then.

It's a mishmash. Mostly of "Raptor", that I got to deal with last semester (finally over thankfully), and whatever other bits of language I needed to fill in non-existent commands.
So yes, I acknowledge that that's a travesty of code, but so is "Raptor". (Seriously, there's no Choose, Case, etc. Only method would be a manual sort and picking one or the other ends.)

Also, I missed one of these } :-[
