And even if it's not, the rolling system means that BFEL would require 8-9 votes (depending on how $27.50 is treated) to have even a small chance.

That's not really how it works.  At least I know that I certainly didn't win with a $3 game versus $20 games, even with several more votes than most of the other contestants.  The RNG goddess is fickle indeed.
