I'm going to be laying of the "RP" (Can we really call it that?) for a short time; at least until I find out whatever is really happening to me. Lately I've been having a few disturbing dreams with myself as Author Avatar-chan. Disturbing as in I wake up into another dream, the dreams themselves aren't really that disturbing; torturing/killing random victims (I think I killed Tiger-Eye-chan seven times in one chain-dream), being chased by monsters, etc, standard stuff.

It's REALLY annoying to go through my morning routine and exiting the door and then "waking up" to run away from a giant floating skull trying to eat me. Maybe my body is rebelling against the extra exercise and new diet.

That's... kind of awesome, Blaze. Have you changed your sleeping patterns at all, lately?
I started trying to improve my sleeping patterns recently by forcing myself to remain in bed for a set time (and no longer), and that change caused me to have the first nightmare I'd had in years. I think it was because, whilst I used to just fall asleep/pass out once I was extremely tired, here I didn't get to sleep for ages because my brain was still fully awake and active.

I always had violent/dramatic dreams before then, but they hardly counted as nightmares since I never felt fear in them.
Dreams are fascinating! No idea if they help with weightloss, though...

But if you feel uncomfortable and you think RP-ing might have to do something with it, do stop. I'll miss the slow descent into madness and uncanny territory adventures of Bear-kun & Co. but you do what makes you feel good and take care of yourself.

It certainly is true for me (although I developed the ability in the 80s before I had played any realistic video games, because none existed).

Yeah chain dreams suck. I tend to have them a lot, though I find any lucid dreaming tends to break the cycle for me and wake me up.

Interesting, I always figured I was a sociopath for having large amounts of "unscary" violent dreams as a kid.

Also: Violent dream involving escaping from a pirate torture compound= Fun.
        Dreams where every bathroom I try is experiencing flooding= OHGODFUCKINGDAMNITSTAHPIT *cries in a corner*

Yeah, chain bathroom dreams suck.  You're pretty much fighting to wake up and use a real toilet...

Toilets on raised platforms, toilets flooded, toilets not made for human use, toilets mounted on the walls, toilets too small, toilets too large, *groan*

Thankfully, I tend to only get really weird dreams when I'm really ill.  Otherwise, I just forget them.

On the bright side, I've mostly overcome fears of nudity in front of others from dreams.  Sort of a "it just happens enough times that you stop caring".
